Born in Tehran, Iran. In 2011 he moved to Italy, where he studied Cinema at the University of Turin and made some short films presented and awarded at various film festivals, among them Displaced (2016) on the exodus of immigrants on the Balkan route and 13 Seconds (2018) on the aftermath of the earthquake in Iran. His virtual reality short VR Free, shot in Turin prison, was presented in the competition of 76° Venice International Film Festival and 42° Sundance Film Festival. In 2019 his documentary Star Stuff, shot in Chile, South Africa and the Canary Islands premiered at 37° Torino Film Festival. Anywhere Anytime is his debut fiction feature.
