Smith III, BBA, MFA was born in Livonia, Michigan, a suburb of Detroit, to Paulette Mary Smith and Robert John Smith Jr. With a name as American as they get and a mother born across the Detroit River in Windsor, Ontario Canada with the last name of Meunier, His roots are as deep in Midwestern and French-Canadian values as they can be. While living in Florida, Smitty still maintains a deep affection for the place that he is from. This may be found in many of his works including, Chasing The Romantics©, The Junior Partner© and #1©.
He writes, acts, directs and produces compelling stories in many different mediums and genres. He has created numerous screenplays, television scripts, animation scripts, radio plays and graphic novels. Smitty earned his Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree in Creative Writing at Full Sail University and was named, Valedictorian. Smitty also earned a Certificate in Feature Film Writing, at UCLA where he graduated, With Distinction.
Smitty has written and is producing and directing a dozen short films in 2015. His documentaries include: American Injustice©, which exposes corruption in the family court system is in production. Undersize Me©, which chronicles his six-month weight loss challenge where he lost seventy-three pounds, is in post-production and his follow-up film, Exercise Me© is in production.
