Angelica Briones
- Actress
Angelica Briones is a mixed media, oil painter, and an actor based in Los Angeles. As a painter her work has been exhibited in Paris, Milan, Madrid, New York, and the MEAM Museum in Barcelona, Spain. Her artwork can be found on Artsper & Artsy, most of which are inspiration for a novel being written by the artist. Her feature debut, Love Land, in which she co-starred alongside an inclusive cast with developmental disabilities, received funding from the San Francisco Film Society and won the Audience Award and Special Jury Prize for Ensemble Cast at the 25th Annual New Orleans Film Festival. Briones would later appear on televisions worldwide as a disaffected teen seduced by her mother's pastor boyfriend in the feature-length Lifetime delicacy, Sinister Minister. She is attached to an exploration of faith and feminism in the American West, a dystopian tribute to the origins of clowning, and a meditation on a child's mystical introduction to her mortality in the desolate Rio Grande Valley.
Briones is an alumnus of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York and has trained under Howard Fine, a protégé of Uta Hagen. She is an avid painter and amateur seamstress, fluent in Spanish, a student of Italian, dances folklórico, and regularly tends to furry new friends. She loves Montmartre, murder mysteries, bougainvilleas, chonks, and vegan chantilly cream.
