Over that period, he has been involved with numerous audio productions as a writer, director and producer, both creating acclaimed content and producing high-quality podcasts from new and experienced writers. Jack also co-created The Springheel Saga (2010) for Wireless Theatre Ltd., which won numerous awards and festival selections globally, including a hat-trick of US Mark Time Ogles.
In the Audio Fiction realm, he is the Creative Director and Founder of AudioMarvels®, a label dedicated to the best global-scale audio storytelling experiences.
Other notable titles in Jack's career include the award-winning Dead London (2013), Audible UK's Murder on the Orient Express (2017) (with Academy Award nominees Tom Conti and Sophie Okonedo), Arabian Nights (2018), The Soul-Breaker (2018) and The Darkwater Bride (2018). In 2019, Bowman co-scripted the New York Times Bestseller Expeditionary Force: Homefront (2019) for Dagaz Media & Podium Publishing, and Wholesale Solution a unique UK/US independent audio fiction pilot produced by Dagaz Media, about the dangers of AI and its role in the future of our planet, which Dagaz declined to take to series. He also works closely with Spiteful Puppet in the UK on cult titles and with the LA-based Datura Studios on mainstream US/UK scripted content for global audiences.
Outside of podcasting, he has been involved with content heard on BBC Radio 4, BBC Sounds and the RNIB. From 2019 to 2020, he served as Production Consultant to BBC Radio Comedy during its transition to BBC Studios Audio. In 2020, Jack directed and produced Circles, an international audio horror series, simultaneously recorded across the globe with multi-cast voice talent working together live, during the global lockdown.
In May 2020, he joined Five Fifty Five Films as their head of Audio Fiction working with Kate Baxter, Sandra Labady and Rainshine Entertainment. Until joining Five Fifty Five Films, Jack's consultation experience included various UK, US and other global audio producers, studios and networks in the audio fiction space.
2021 saw him asked to direct the first-ever audio take on the infamous Laughing Jack creepypasta meme, in Smile, it'll Be Over Soon, written by Noga Flashion for Harpy Productions. This was followed by Moonbug Entertainment selecting him in 2022 to take one of their biggest IPs, Little Baby Bum, along with their new fledgling franchise Lellobee City Farm: Grandma Mei's Fantastic Folktales, into the podcast space for the first time, for Audible UK. He has also produced a variety of audio genre pieces from a political voice drama based on Stefan Zweig's The World of Yesterday to horror comedy-drama Long Night In Egypt.
As of 2023, he has produced the first audio remake of London After Midnight, starring Art Malik, which won over 25 awards and multiple global radio, audio and web festival selections, as well as Season 2 of hit Moonbug podcast titles Little Baby Bum and Lellobee City Farm: Grandma Mei's Fantastic Folktales, and a historical adaptation of Mrs Dalloway. In October 2023, he was announced as a Nominee for Best UK Audio Drama & Fiction Producer, as well as exec producing two scripted audio pilots, Twilight Meridian and Bin Juice.
2024 saw the release of Unsinkable (2024) via Wondery+, and Twilight Meridian win multiple NJ Webfest awards, London After Midnight continued its award-winning and nominated festival march, while he continued development of John Carter of Mars as a new audio drama series (a project he has been attached to for over four years). He also was selected to produce an undisclosed Triple-A video game title.
During press interviews for London After Midnight, he was referred to as "the Steven Spielberg of audio" (BBC), with many noting how he effortlessly moves between a variety of genres to repeatedly deliver world-class dramatic content.
