Christian Cabrol was born on 16 September 1925 in Chézy-sur-Marne, Aisne, France. He was married to Bérangère Dautun and Annick Cabrol. He died on 16 June 2017 in Paris, France.
Surgeon who did the first European heart transplant, on 27 April 1968, 4 months after Christiaan Barnard's first one. He died in the same hospital where he did that feat.
