The character of Worf, first played by actor Michael Dorn in "Star Trek: The Next Generation," always stood apart from the other characters on the show. There have been reports over the last 24 hours of a drugs raid implicating production staff involved in the Italian shoot of The Equalizer 3 on Italy’s Amalfi Coast.

Deadline is hearing from close sources, however, that the arrested parties worked for a catering company which was an independent contractor and would likely be replaced.

They add that the men were arrested after a private gathering on a day off for the country’s November 1 All Saints’ public holiday and were not on set when their alleged crimes took place.

According to reports in the Italian press, Italian paramilitary police raided the accommodation where the men were staying Tuesday and seized 120 grams of cocaine.

Local carabinieri captain Umberto D’Angelantonio said two Roman caterers had been arrested and charged with possession of drugs for the purpose of dealing and were now being held under house arrest at their hotel in the coastal town of Maiori.

Officers discovered several packages of cocaine in the caterer’s clothing, pointing toward a more significant problem on the set. The cast for Antoine Fuqua‘s The Equalizer 3 is growing stronger with addition. According to Deadline, That Dirty Black Bag and Promises star Gaia Scodellaro is joining Denzel Washington and Dakota Fanning for the upcoming sequel. The project is from Sony Pictures and has a script by Richard Wenk. Todd Black of Escape Artists, Jason Blumenthal, and Steve Tisch produce alongside Washington and Fuqua.

Everyone is keeping the plot of The Equalizer 3 under wraps, though we know it will feature the return of Washington’s Robert McCall. The original film, released in 2014, focuses on a man who believes he’s put the past behind him but can’t stand by when he meets a young girl under the control of ultra-violent Russian gangsters. A sequel was released in 2018, featuring McCall going on a rampage to serve unflinching justice for someone he loves.

Director Antoine Fuqua and star Denzel Washington are back for a third “Equalizer” film at Sony Pictures. Their action franchise, which has collectively earned 382.7 million globally, is based on the popular television series of the same name that aired from 1985 to 1989. The film version sees Washington play Robert McCall, formerly a Marine and operative of the Defense Intelligence Agency that now seeks to help desperate people within his newly adopted community in Boston that can’t go to the authorities and are in need of McCall’s particular set of skills.

Dakota Fanning will star alongside Denzel Washington in “The Equalizer 3,” the third film in the action franchise from director Antoine Fuqua, an individual with knowledge of the project told TheWrap.

The casting reunites Fanning with Washington after the two starred together in the box office hit “Man on Fire” from 2004 when Fanning was still just a girl.

Sony has already set a release date of September 1, 2023 for the next “Equalizer” installment.

The plot for the new film is being kept under wraps, but Fuqua is returning to direct Washington as Robert McCall, and Richard Wenk, who penned both of the previous films, wrote the screenplay.

“The Equalizer 3” is produced by Escape Artists’ Todd Black, Jason Blumenthal, Steve Tisch and Washington.

The first “Equalizer” movie from 2014 made 194 million worldwide and spawned a 2018 sequel that performed similarly with 190 million.
