- Bello has dual citizenship in the United States and the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
- He has two sisters and one brother, all older than he. They reside all around the world, including China, Australia, and Mexico.
- In 2007, he won the Centre County Holiday Festival's "Best in Show" award for his 7 foot tall gingerbread house complete with a 40 part edible display of Santa's workshop.
- He has visited every African nation but one during his childhood. The only country he has not seen is Mozambique.
