Ben’s once again in way over his head when he leaps into the body of a defense attorney on NBC’s Quantum Leap season one episode 15. “Ben Song for the Defense” will air on Monday, March 13, 2023 at 10pm Et/Pt.

Season one stars Raymond Lee (Kevin Can F**k Himself) as physicist Ben Song and Caitlin Bassett as Addison. Ernie Hudson (The Family Business) plays Herbert “Magic” Williams, Mason Alexander Park (The Sandman) is Ian Wright, and Nanrisa Lee (First Love) plays Jenn Chou.

Episode 15 guest stars include Isaac Arellanes, Diandra Lyle, Nate Walker, Edward Gelhaus, Megan Robinson, and Michael Garza.

“Ben Song for the Defense” Plot: When Ben leaps into a harried public defender, he must keep an innocent teenager accused of murder out of prison for life. In an unexpected turn of events, Jenn puts her legal expertise to the test as she steps in as the hologram on this complicated leap.

In today’s TV news roundup, MTV announced when the 2021 “MTV Movie & TV Awards” will air, and Netflix revealed the premiere date for the third season of “Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous.”

MTV announced that the 2021 “MTV Movie & TV Awards” will air live from Los Angeles on May 16. Following that event, MTV will air “Movie & TV Awards: Unscripted” (working title) on May 17, which will recognize the best moments from reality shows and celebrate everything reality TV. Hosts, honorees, performers, presenters and additional details for both events will be announced at a later date. Sponsors of the two-night celebration include The Real Cost (U.S. Food and Drug Administration) and Sonic.

Exclusive: Allblk has cast the stars for its legal drama Lace, with Maryam Basir (The Chi), Skyh Black (Sistas) and Tanyell Waivers (Queen Sugar) set to join the series. Also joining the principal cast are Antoine Harris (The Breaks) and Terrell Carter (Empire). Kemy Time productions co-founder Katrina Y. Nelson, Michelle Ebony Hardy, Adam Starks and Tracy Grant created the series.

Lace, directed by Deuces and Brotherly Love helmer Jamal Hill, follows a prolific Los Angeles attorney who often blurs the lines between right and wrong to protect her rich and powerful clientele. Hollywood Week — or “Hell Week,” according to that little devil Ryan Seacrest — continued on Monday’s American Idol, which ended with one contestant threatening (nay, promising!) to pee on the floor. And after sitting through this episode, I could relate.

These poor children were put through the wringer, forced to sing and dance and smile on mere minutes of sleep. They were treated like… like… well, like children in Hollywood, to be honest.

But unlike the episode, which forced the contestants to wait until the last possible moment to learn their fates, we’re going straight to the results:

The second and final episode of “American Idol” showcasing Hollywood Week airs on March 25. On Sunday we saw the three judges — country superstar Luke Bryan, pop princess Katy Perry, and Oscar-winning singer/songwriter Lionel Richie — pass judgement on half of the contestants who had made it this far in the competition. On Monday, we’ll see them make their decisions on the other half of those hoping to win season 17 of “American Idol.”

At this stage, all of the contestants take part in three sing-offs: lines of 10, groups, and solos. The judges have to decide which 40 to take through to the next round. Those lucky few were flown to Hawaii and got to sing in a showcase that is set to air on Sunday, March 31. (Spoilers: The men and women who made the Top 40.)

A hectic Hollywood Week continued Monday night on ABC's American Idol, starting with a continuation of the group round. Then, contestants gave solo performances, which judges Katy Perry, Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie used to select the top 40.

Sunday night’s episode ended on a cliffhanger as the group Ain’t Going Home awaited the fate of one of their members Nate Walker, who was sent to the hospital. The fact that Sunday’s American Idol ended with a contestant being rushed to the hospital feels on par with the vibe of Hollywood Week thus far. As we saw tonight, not even our favorites are immune to the occasional misstep — and the pressure is on.

After five episodes of auditions, “American Idol” moved on to Hollywood Week on Sunday. March 24. This episode, and the one on Monday (March 25), chronicles the competition between the 150 contestants who earned tickets to Hollywood when they auditioned for the three judges. There, they had to sing three more times for Luke Bryan, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie, who then cut the field down to just 40. The Top 40 contenders were flown to the Disney Aulani resort in Honolulu, Hawaii at the end of January where they were competed to make the top 20. The episode featuring those make-or-break performances will air on Sunday, March 31. We know that the three judges put 11 men through to the Top 20.

In advance of Sunday’s episode of “American Idol,” ABC has given us a sneak peek at the dozen contestants we will see audition for judges Katy Perry, Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie. Among the 12 artists featured on the Night 3 episode are eight who ended up being given tickets to Hollywood and then competing there to make the Top 40. We’ve done some digging and can tell you which of these hopefuls made that first cut as well as the results of how they fared in the showcase round. Spoilers ahead.

At the end of January, the Top 40 travelled to Hawaii and stayed at the Aulani Resort, a luxury hotel in Honolulu owned by Disney as is ABC, the new network for “American Idol.” Each of these would-winners of season 17 sang once again. “American Idol” returns on March 3 for the first of five audition episodes hosted, as always, by Ryan Seacrest. By the end of this stage of the competition, the three judges — Luke Bryan, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie — will have sent upwards of 150 contestants to Hollywood.

Over the course of the two Hollywood week episodes, which will air on March 24 and 25, we will see this number cut down to just 40. Those lucky two score then took to the stage at the Disney Aulani resort in Honolulu, Hawaii where they were showcased in solo turns that determined the top 20.
