- Son of Gene and Diana Wallace Yovetich. Gene, a former Chicago advertising executive, died when Luka was 11. The HBO movie White Mile (1994) is based on events surrounding a business trip rafting accident that took his life and the lives of four other people. Diana, a former teacher of children with special needs, has lived with ME/CFS for decades.
