Adrien Cote was born on March 10, 1986, in Ottawa, Ontario. He is the son of Jeanne, a nurse, and Allen Cote, an engineer. Adrien is the second of two children. His ancestry includes English, French-Canadian, and Irish. The Cote family moved to Orleans, Ontario, where Adrien grew up, receiving a high school education from both St. Matthew Catholic High School and Norman Johnson alternate program, excelling in Drama and Fine Arts. Upon graduation, Adrien moved to Vancouver, British Columbia, to begin his acting career.
Adrien first performed as a singer at talent contests with supporting friends at his elementary school. In high school, his passion for performance arts grew as various opportunities presented itself in the form of musical and dramatic interpretations, specifically in relation to Shakespeare and various poetry readings.
In 2010, Adrien began honing his acting skills by attending the East End Actors Studio with Martin Cummins. While working with Cummins, Adrien studied theater and performed works from: John Patrick Shanley, David Mamet, and Neil Labute. In 2012, Adrien's hunger to perfect his craft as an actor became evident while working and studying under Suzanne Bastion at The Creative Space. In this time, Adrien began to pay specific attention towards mastering the technical aspects of his performance, (i.e. on screen scene studies specializing in film and television).
Adrien began his acting career appearing on the short films Walkabout (2011), Bike Tales (2013), and SINspiration (2014). He first attracted serious critical attention with his performance as Monty, a confused, entitled, drug-using hipster on the Canadian feature: Thirty-One Scenes About Nothing. His follow-up role as Barry in the independent film: Hell in a Handbag is set to be released in 2016. In 2015, Adrien made his debut in television with his role in iZombie.
Adrien's experiences as an actor has fuelled his curiosity with regards to understanding the industry from behind the camera. In 2015, he worked as a camera technician on the Television Movies: Pretty Little Addict and Newlywed and Dead. In a short time, he has established himself as an individual determined to immerse himself in the world of acting and entertainment.
