Stephen Turro was born in New Jersey but has been a resident of the state of Massachusetts since 2001 when he matriculated to the prestigious Phillips Academy Andover where he met his now wife. Stephen was in good company, historically speaking, as he was forced to withdraw from Phillips his senior year for disciplinary reasons (smoking) the same as Jack Lemon and Humphrey Bogart decades earlier. After high school Stephen bounced around between colleges before moving in with his wife in Boston in 2005. While applying to law schools and having become recently unemployed from his noble charge as a bartender on Boston's posh Newbury Street a friend offered him a single day of Production Assistant work on Seth MacFarlane's Ted, he never looked back. Stephen entered the DGA as a 2nd Assistant Director in the spring of 2017 working on Daddy's Home 2.
