Thorbjörn Eklund is a Swedish filmmaker known by his animated series "Lika men Olika", which discusses racism and prejudice. The series was shown on SvT children's channel and had a high number of viewers. He is also one of the first directors in Sweden to work with real-time processing movies. Leading a proof of concept team to build a Swedish led-stage.
In 2014 he took his masters degree, where he researched in digital visual effects and how they are and can be used as a narrative device within the frame of a movie. In this theory Thorbjörn discusses the use of digital visual effects as a own narrative device to move the story forward, and how this can be used in extension of film grammar and script dialogue.
