Salih Arif

Salih Arif is a Kurdish film producer based in Vancouver. He was Born in Kurdistan Region of Iraq, Duhok city in 1987, Salih holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English literature from the University of Duhok. With a career spanning in the film industry since 2006, Salih has garnered extensive experience in film productions across various roles including actor, producer, line producer, director's assistant, and casting director. He has contributed to numerous co-production film projects between Kurdistan and Europe. Salih's impactful contributions extend beyond his individual endeavors. As one of the co-founders of the esteemed Duhok International Film Festival, he played a pivotal role in shaping its vision and mission. His dedication and leadership were further evident during his tenure as the vice president of the festival, where he demonstrated a commitment to excellence and innovation. Additionally, Salih served as the director of Duhok Cinema Directorate for three years, overseeing strategic initiatives to promote and advance the cinematic landscape in the region. Driven by a passion for storytelling and cultural exchange, Salih Arif continues to make significant strides in the film industry, embodying creativity and a profound dedication to his craft.
