Justin Maurer is a producer, writer, musician and an ASL Interpreter. He is a CODA (Child of a Deaf Adult) and his first language is ASL, American Sign Language. He has been an ASL Interpreter for over a decade and is also a consultant on a Deaf/CODA ASL Consulting Team who produced 10 episodes of the ASL version of HCBS Final Rule: The Animated Series for California's Tri-Counties Regional Centers. This Deaf/CODA team also consulted on Disney's Big City Greens and worked on over 50 episodes of Dreamworks' Madagascar: A Little Wild.
He frequently interprets for film and TV, high profile events, award ceremonies, political speeches, television appearances and more. He has interpreted at the 2022 and 2023 Academy Awards, the 2021 and 2022 Emmy Awards, the Media Access Awards, Entertainment Tonight, Shark Tank, The Kelly Clarkson Show, The Drew Barrymore Show, and Super Bowl LVII. He has appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Curb Your Enthusiasm and Running Wild With Bear Grylls.
He has toured the world and released records with his bands CLOROX GIRLS, SUSPECT PARTS, LA DRUGZ, JENNY and MANIAC. He is a producer on upcoming documentary film Utter Bliss about UK indie band "Fat White Family". He is also producer on the upcoming documentary "Live At The Deaf Club" about the unlikely partnership between San Francisco's Deaf community and punk community from 1978-1979.

His autobiographical play "Falling On Deaf Eyes" about the struggles of a teenage punk and his single Deaf mother in a small town had its world premiere at the Hollywood Fringe Festival in June 2019.
Before becoming a professional ASL interpreter, he has worked as a traveling dental supply salesman, Lyft driver, Thai food delivery boy, and Hollywood tour bus driver as well as a freelance writer.
One of his songs,"Outside Place," was featured in the independent film, "The Lifeguard" (2013) starring Kristin Bell. Another song, "All The Time" was featured on the Showtime's "Shameless." His song "Seventeen Television" was used as the entrance theme song for WWE Wrestler CJ Parker.
