Tyler Piña is a screenwriter and Emmy Award-winning filmmaker with over 14 years of experience directing, producing, and editing. At the age of 20, he directed his first film, a student-run feature that gained international distribution. He now has numerous projects streaming on Netflix and Amazon Prime Video. His first short "88 Cents" played at Cannes in 2018, screened at over 70 international film festivals, and has won 67 awards, including 16 for Best Director, 7 for Best Screenplay, and 17 for Best Short Film. Tyler is the Executive Producer and owner of Neon Flamingo Films, a full-service production company based in Los Angeles with clients that include Netflix, Amazon, Disney, Google, Facebook, and Verizon. In 2018, Tyler received his first Emmy Award in the Technology category and an additional Emmy nomination as the series director for the show "Next Level." Additional accolades include multiple Telly and CINDY Awards for his commercial, music video, and documentary work. Tyler is passionate about telling stories that connect people, lift society, and amplify underrepresented voices.
