Susaan Jamshidi

Susaan is a Chicago trained actor who grew up just outside of Pittsburgh in Beaver, PA. She is a graduate of the esteemed Theatre School at DePaul University and Allegheny College. She cut her teeth with storied Chicago theatre ensembles and has worked with some of the most sought after and celebrated theatre directors including, Mary Zimmerman and Robert Falls. Susaan loves bringing life to new work both on and off stage and screen. She is the recipient, along with her fellow castmates, Alyssa Thordarson and Glenn Stanton, of the Grand Jury Award for Best Performance (Cast) at the 2022 Sherman Oaks Film Festival for After: A Love Story, directed by Clare Cooney and written by Thordarson. She also received, along with her cast, a Joseph Jefferson Award for Best Ensemble for the play Idomeneus. You can catch Susaan in The Second City produced web-series, The Tam and Kevin Show (starring Tamberla Perry and Kevin Douglas); as the voice of Betrys, the lead character in the internationally lauded animated short, Hibernation; and as MRI tech Rosie Abbasi on Chicago Med.
