Erol Afsin

Erol Afsin is an actor, writer, director, and producer, known for "Es brennt" (2023), "Homeland" (2011), "Saf" (2018), and "Mustang" (2015). Erol Afsin was born in Adana, Turkey, and moved to Germany at 19 to pursue acting. After studying at a German state acting school, he performed in theater and films in many countries, including Palestine. He stands out as a Folkwang University graduate who completed a screenplay. His directorial debut, "The Way" (2015), explores religious themes. Erol Afsin gained recognition for acting in films presented at major festivals like Cannes and Toronto. In 2023, Erol Afsin debuted his first feature film "Es brennt," which he wrote, directed, and produced. The film premiered at Filmfest München.
