In a new interview with Life & Style magazine, she says, "When I was a little girl, I always imagined I'd be married with kids by now. It's not where I thought I'd be. I'm 30, and I'm by myself."

And she admits that she realised Waits wasn't "the one" while watching the first episodes of her new reality TV series The World According to Paris: "By watching the show, I got an outside perspective of our relationship."

That 'rough patch' features in Hilton's new reality TV show The World According to Paris - the hotel heiress is seen lashing out at her boyfriend in a club.

During their romance, Hilton was arrested for cocaine possession during a night out in Las Vegas with her beau, Waits fought off an intruder at her Hollywood home, and, in April, the club boss was attacked outside court in Los Angeles when he arrived to support his girlfriend as she testified against the man who broke into her home.
