- Vinicius Brum is a cinematographer, born in Rio de Janeiro, graduated in Cinema from Estácio de Sá University. Later on, he refined his skills with a specialization course in cinematography at the Global Cinematography Institute in Los Angeles. Since then, he has pursued his career as a director of photography and camera operator. He began his career working on TV shows for channels such as Canal Brasil, Multishow, Gnt, Espn, and +Globosat. In the movie industry, he has shot feature films such as "Cássia Eller" (2014) directed by Paulo Henrique Fontenelle, produced by Migdal Filmes, nominated for Best Documentary at the Cinema Brazil Grand Prize and winner of audience award for best documentary at the São Paulo International Film Festival. He also shot "Tamo Junto" (2016) directed by Matheus Souza, a co-production with RT Features, which premiered at the Gramado Film Festival and later distributed by Downtown Filmes to theaters. He has also shot several short films selected for international festivals, such as the documentary short "In Search of the Land Without Evil" (2017) directed by Anna Azevedo, selected for the Berlin International Film Festival in the Generation section in 2017. His recent projects include the feature film "Desapega" (2023) directed by Hsu Chien and starring Glória Pires and Maisa, distributed by Imagem Filmes to several theaters across Brazil, "Ciclo" (2022) directed by Ian SBF, marking his debut at the Rio Int'l Film Festival and São Paulo International Film Festival, and the award-winning documentary "Saudade do Futuro" (2021) directed by Anna Azevedo, winner of Best Film at the Brasília Film Festival and nominated for the ABC Award for Best documentary cinematography in 2022.
