Jason is a writer/director/producer with associations to 37 different productions, including 3 feature films and 11 award winning productions. He has produced a total of 27 different films, written over 20 scripts that have been produced, directed 8 short films and 1 feature-length film, The Truth About Us.
Most recently, Jason's script, Obsession, has been accepted into 11 script competitions. Obsession has been selected as a quarter finalist, semi-finalist, and has won 3 awards for best feature-length script.
Jason is also an alumni of the 2023 Slamdance Scriptwriters Showcase for emerging screenwriters hosted by AGBO films.
Jason White holds a Master of Arts degree in English. For his final project in his Masters program he wrote a full-length play which he converted into his first feature credit, The Truth About Us.
He, along with best friend and fellow filmmaker Ryan McDonald as well as a few other filmmakers, founded the not for profit organization The New Ogden Cinema. The corporation promotes film-making and the education of film-making through the production of cinema. New Ogden Cinema has currently produced or assisted with production on several features and over a dozen short films.
Jason is also head writer on the web-series Proper Manors and is in charge of writing the bulk of the first two seasons as well as making sure that each episode is as professional as possible while maintaining the overall story arches and character consistency. Season one is currently written and the plot for season 2 is already penned out and ready for production.
Directors with a strong sense of story-telling visually and narratively, as well as dramatists and theater directors who have delved into film, have been a huge influence on his writing and directing style.
