Yolanda Scott was born in Upstate New York to a
family of African American, European and Indian ancestry. She attended
public schools in New York until 10th grade when she moved to Orlando
Florida to attended Dr. Phillips' high school, a magnet school for the
performing arts. After becoming a finalist for the Best New Talent
Awards and competing in Los Angeles, Scott decided to relocate to Los
Angeles to focus on her acting career. In Los Angeles she attended the
Stella Adler Studio of Acting, and after being approached by a talent
scout while working at a restaurant in 2006, she appeared in the MTV
social makeover show, "Why Can't I Be You". Following this, Scott
worked alongside Don Cheadle and Emma Roberts doing stand-in work for
Kyla Pratt in 2009's "Hotel For Dogs". She has also appeared in several
short films. In 2010's "Out of Order" she plays a high school student
alongside Brandon Hammond, Jermaine Williams and Norman D Golden.
