Yash is a fitness freak and can spend hours doing his regime and had been a personal trainer in Gym too. He is also a practitioner of Yoga.

In 2015 , Yash had met with an accident on the sets of "Bojhena se Bojhena" where his forearms were burnt while shooting a Diwali sequence. He was out of action to recuperate and later won the popular awards and he mentioned:

"My proudest moment was when I won the 'People's Choice Best Actor Award'. You see, teleserials are dominated by women. However, after trying hard, I have made my own identity among my viewers," he said.

Yash Dasgupta with his crew, was stranded amid the attempted military coup in Istanbul (July 2016) while filming for his debut Bengali movie , which is an intense romance action genre. This international event was widely covered in media bulletins. He had tweeted "Thank you Istanbul for making us feel like home, nothing to worry about. Safe and secured.".

The Debut film of Yash Dasgupta in Bengali language is named as Gangster which would release on 7th October 2016.

And while filming he had noted that - Good artists copy, great artists steal. There are no original ideas, it's just the same thing executed differently.
