- Ashley Hinshaw was raised in LaPorte, Indiana and moved to New York at 16 to pursue a career in entertainment after appearing in multiple Abercrombie and Fitch ads shot by Bruce Weber. After appearing in Gossip Girl as herself, she moved to Los Angeles and was cast in the high school comedy, LOL, opposite Miley Cyrus. She led the film About Cherry alongside Dev Patel, James Franco, Heather Graham and Lily Taylor which premiered at the 2012 Berlin International Film Festival. She has appeared in HBO's True Detective, True Blood and Enlightened. Hinshaw was cast as Adam Brody's love interest in the Crackle series StartUp and in the recurring role of Lisbeth in the E! drama series The Arrangement.
She married Topher Grace on May 29, 2016 and they welcomed their daughter, Mabel Jane Grace, in November 2017.
Ashley Grace (Hinshaw) made her directorial debut in 2018 with the short film Hunter Gatherer, which was shot in her home state of Indiana while she was 7 months pregnant. In addition to directing Grace also wrote, produced and stars in the short film based on her personal experience with the child-welfare system.
