Hollywood heartthrob Chace Crawford may have displayed his outstanding acting chops in the cinematic field, but that isn’t the only thing he is absolutely baffling at. As it turns out, the ultra-handsome The Deep portrayer in The Boys actually holds some serious rizz — to the point where he can even give the comedian cum actor Pete Davidson a run for his money.

While Davidson is exceptionally famous for having dated some really high-profile ladies in the industry, Crawford seems to have quite literally surpassed even his record with his long list of ex-girlfriends. And, surprisingly enough, his long list of ex-lovers is also filled with female celebrities, just like Davidson’s!

The party-hardy world of sex and drugs that movies like to throw a troupe of teenagers through in an effort to make a point about our schizophrenic culture of social pressures and expectations has had more than its fair share of time on the screen, both in the Cineplex and in the average living room. We get it every week in one of countless television dramas exploring that very subject, and with decreasing frequency in a feature film. It’s a hard subject to find a new take on for a solid 90 minutes, and Joel Schumacher failed to do so in his latest film Twelve. Instead of startling insight into teenage drug use or social evils that spawn from peer pressure, we get the all too typical look at lives crumbling to pieces and getting swept away in the wind in free fall.

The most common complaint about movies adapted from novels is that they're not faithful enough to their source material. Joel Schumacher's "Twelve" is so weirdly and destructively faithful that it seems like it an experimental film designed to show people why excessively dutiful adaptations are a bad idea. Schumacher took author Nick McDonell's heavily stylized narration (which you can get a taste of here) and recreated it exactly in the film. So while we see Chace Crawford walking the streets of New York City as drug dealer White Mike we hear narrator Kiefer Sutherland say things like "White Mike has never smoked a cigarette in his life," or "White Mike loves rooftops."
The idea that film is a visual medium is one of the fundamental principles of cinema. Students learn on the first day of film school that their work should show, not tell. Schumacher's structure throws that out the window.

I just got an email inviting me to a "secret party" for Joel Schumacher's new film "Twelve." The link enclosed took me to a publicly viewable page from the film's website; so much for the secret part. Once there, I was greeted by a video starring actress Esti Ginzburg in character as Sarah Ludlow, the ultra-spoiled rich girl who throws the film's climactic party. "I'm very very very hot and I know you're gonna wanna come party with me," she coos and for a second it seems like I'd wandered onto phone sex website. But no, Sarah wants my email addresses and zip code in exchange for an invite to her party. I put in my information over an hour ago and I still haven't received any further info. Burned by the cool kids yet again. God, this movie really is like high school!

Very few films are as good as the book, but that still doesn't excuse an absolute travesty of a book-to-film adaptation. The unfortunate thing is Twelve had such unbelievable on screen potential. Not only is the subject matter widely appealing -- pretty people doing bad things -- but it has a stellar cast to go with it. All director Joel Schumacher had to do was follow the story, trim a little fat and he would have ended up with a solid production. But he and screenwriter Jordan Melamed just went about it all wrong, making Twelve an extended episode of Gossip Girl rather than a dark and foreboding tale.
The film stars Chace Crawford as White Mike, a smart kid who resorts to a life of seclusion and drug dealing after losing his mother to cancer. His clients include just about anyone who hangs out at Chris' (Rory Culkin) house,...

On Wednesday, July 28, Landmark's Sunshine Cinema in New York City was packed with Hollywood stars who attended the Cinema Society & 2(x)ist screening of "Twelve". Taking a lead role in the movie, Chace Crawford came in a formal outfit minus a tie.
He was joined by director Joel Schumacher and co-star 50 Cent when posing for cameras. Though female lead Emma Roberts was not captured hitting the black carpet, other cast members such as Rory Culkin, Emily Meade, Chanel Farrell, Esti Ginzburg and Nico Tortorella managed to spare some time to attend the special screening.
The screening was also supported by the presence of Crawford's "Gossip Girl" co-stars including Blake Lively, Jessica Szohr, Penn Badgley as well as Michelle Trachtenberg. Later, Mickey Rourke was additionally seen among the special guests that night.

I saw my final film of Sundance 2010 here in Chicago. It was my best Sundance experience, and I want to tell you why. The film was "Jack Goes Boating," the directorial debut of Philip Seymour Hoffman. It played here in the Music Box, as part of the "Sundance USA" outreach program, which has enlisted eight art theaters around the country to play Sundance entries while the festival is still underway.
The Music Box is the largest surviving first run movie palace in Chicago. It is deeper than it is wide, and has an arching ceiling where illusory clouds float and stars twinkle. Many shows are preceded by music on the organ.
That's all very nice, but doesn't explain why this particular screening was so enjoyable. Every one of the 750 seats was filled. These people were not festival goers, nor were they all critics, bloggers or distributors. They were movie lovers...

Rumor has it that Chace Crawford goes on a date with Sports Illustrated swimsuit model named Esti Ginzburg. New York Post's Page Six reports that the 19-year-old model continuously texted Crawford on Sunday night, May 24. She was also said leaving a dinner party thrown by fashion label Sergio Rossi at Sole East in Montauk to meet him.
Esti Ginzburg is slated to star with Chace Crawford on "Twelve", film adaptation of Nick McDonell's book about a high school dropout-turned-drug dealer. The name of her character is still unknown though.
Professionally, Crawford will star as Ren McCormack on "Footloose" remake. The 23-year-old hunk secured the role after Zac Efron dropped out off the musical remake before. Talking about his involvement on the flick, Crawford tells Entertainment Weekly, "I know Zac and we're actually friends. He's gotta make the best choice for his career at this point and I have to...
