Nari Blair-Mangat is an award-winning black British actor, he has a commanding stage and screen presence and is well versed in complex roles that require a committed performance. His screen credits include the James Bond film Spectre working closely with Daniel Craig and Christoph Waltz, Disney's Cinderella starring Lily James, and he featured in Kenneth Branagh's star studded remakes of Agatha Christie's; Murder on the Orient Express and Death on The Nile.
Nari was awarded Best Supporting Male Actor at the Black British Theatre Awards for his performance opposite James McAvoy in the revival of Cyrano De Bergerac, for the show's critically acclaimed sold out run at the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM) in NYC. He was also the assistant director at BAM, continuing his long standing creative relationship with Tony Award nominated director Jamie Lloyd.
After graduating from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, Nari went straight into the Olivier Award winning West End production of Piaf working with Luke Evans and Elena Roger. He performed at the Old Vic Theatre in the 24 Hour Plays and was then cast in the Old Vic's production of The Duchess of Malfi starring Eve Best. Nari received an Ian Charleson commendation for his standout role opposite Kenneth Branagh and Alex Kingston in Macbeth at the Park Ave Armory, NYC. He originated the role of Shaun in the smash hit show People, Places and Things starring opposite Denise Gough and directed by Tony Award nominated director Jeremy Herrin. Nari has played Shakespeare's Othello several times including in London's West End and at Prague Castle for the Prague Shakespeare Company.
Raised in London by a Jamaican mother and Indian father, his full name Narinder means "King". He has three artistic brothers: film director Rohan Blair-Mangat based in LA, actor-writer Arun Blair-Mangat based in LA and film director Omar Blair-Mangat based in London.
