Born in 1979, Amit Itzcar grew up in Givatayim, a small town outside
Tel-Aviv. He served in the IDF in the communication corps for 3 years.
After his service, Amit went to study art and film at "Minshar For Art"
while working in a video store for 6 years. Among his classmates in film school were acclaimed Israeli directors: Asaf Korman ("Next to Her"), Meni Yaesh ("God's Neighbors") and Hagar Ben-Asher ("The Slut"). He directed several short
films, video-arts and some music videos to Israeli bands such as The
Girls, Punkache, Lo Dubim, Caveman , Bad Date and others. "The Safety in Rubber"
is his graduation film from "Minshar For Art" school and center. At 2013 he was approached by former film school classmate Udi Kagan to act in his new web-series that he developed at the time called "Messiah". Amit played the character of Ziv, Messiah's sidekick.The show became an instant hit and was developed to a full series on Israeli prime time TV and premiered in 2018.
Between 2015-2016 he created and co-hosted with Yoav Tal a late night talk show called "Hatihot" at the Halalit.TV web channel. The show introduced many Avant Garde Israeli artists.
