Ian LeFeuvre is an award winning Toronto based composer, singer, songwriter, producer and player of the many instruments that live in his studio. Always striving to further develop his wide musical skill set, in more recent years Ian has become an in-demand film/ television composer with a unique voice of his own. He prides himself on creating scores that sound organic and handmade as opposed to having come out of a can. Helping tell the story is everything for Ian - his scores are very conceptual and thematic, ranging from minimalist/transparent all the way to melodic, hooky and iconic. Ian achieves the latter of these two by drawing from the deep melodic sense of an experienced singer songwriter. This melodic sense, along with his level of proficiency on so many actual instruments (as opposed to playing samples on a keyboard) and an undying curiosity to explore, tinker and try new things are what define Ian as a composer. That and the love of how a great story can inspire him to do something he may never have otherwise done.
Recent film/TV score credits include NBC/Global TV drama Nurses, CBC drama Burden of Truth, CTV/Bravo comedy/drama Carter, for which Ian is nominated for a 2020 Canadian Screen Award, and feature film James vs His Future Self, for which Ian is nominated for two 2020 Canadian Screen Awards.
As a songwriter, Ian is signed to Vancouver/LA based Nettwerk publishing. Having written songs with such artists as Barenaked Ladies, Banners and Emilie Mover and recorded/toured with hip hop artist K-OS, Ian is somewhat of a veteran of the Canadian indie music scene.
Ian has also composed music on countless national/international TV spots for such clients as Google, Microsoft, Nike, Budweiser, Labatt, Pepsi, Coke, Smirnoff, Pizza Hut, Ritz, Oreo, Toyota, Honda, Ford, Nissan, Acura, Hyundai and Jaguar.
