Brian Comerford is a digital media producer with a background in
broadcast radio production and entrepreneurship. Since entering radio
as a broadcast announcer in 1989, he has interviewed hundreds of
subjects for his radio productions such as musicians, artists, authors,
philosophers, and researchers, and he has produced, scripted and
directed numerous episodes of live radio drama. Comerford was the
co-founder of RadioValve.com, the web's first 24-hour techno radio
station, and one of the first generations of webcasters. The company
developed its own station management software, and was a case-study for
the publication _Web Radio_ by Chris Priestman. He is also an
underground electronic music producer and DJ with an extensive
discography who has performed internationally as a solo artist and with
a laptop "band". Comerford, with almost two decades of underground film and
scriptwriting projects to his credit, recently co-directed,
co-produced and co-edited the international documentary feature film,
_Ink Music: In the Land of the Hundred-Tongued Lyricist_, shot in
Tokyo, Japan. He has worked as a voice actor, an application developer, a journalist, an IT director,
a gaming audio consultant, and a nutritional business owner, and has
served as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Denver in the
Digital Media Studies department where he also earned his MA.
