Samantha Jones is an American actor of stage, film, and television. She was raised in New York City and began her journey as an actor when she was nine years old in a production of "A Christmas Carol." She began her formal study as a teen at The Neighborhood Playhouse and then LaGuardia High School, previously known at Performing Arts aka "The Fame School." During this time, she began working in Off Broadway theatre and independent films. When she attended college, she chose the Theatre Department at SUNY New Paltz. This gave this "city girl" an opportunity to experience life in a rural setting and explore her work as an actor. In addition to acting, this was also where Jones began exploring comedy more seriously and did stand-up and improv regularly. After graduating, Jones went back to NYC and continued her career. Improv became the foundation of her method of acting and had served her immensely in her work. She was a founding cast member of the Jekyll &Hyde Club in Midtown Manhattan where she worked as an improvisor full-time for seven years and originated the role of Lucretia Crabtree, President of the Black Widow Society. Through the years she created four solo shows that were developed and produced at NYC by NBC HERE Arts Center, The Nuyorican Cafe, Gilda's Club, and the infamous SOLO Nova Festival at PS122. Her work in theatre continued into lead roles on plays including "PIT" by Melissa Annis and as Sonia production of "Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike" directed by Michael Schiralli. Eventually her work expanded into TV and film which is where most of her professional work takes place today.
