Sasha Hirsch
- Actor
Born and raised in Brooklyn, Sasha grew up surrounded by artists at his dad's restaurant, the Cornelia Street Cafe, in Greenwich Village. Initially, it was the jazz musicians he wanted to emulate, but his parents begged him to consider a career path with a little more earning potential. And so, he became an actor.
In New York, he studied with Bob Krakower and Ted Sluberski. Since landing in L.A., in 2019, he has been in on-going class with Lesly Kahn, gone through the entire UCB improv curriculum for a second time, and narrowly escaped tragedy on his bicycle. He has an MFA from the American Repertory Theater at Harvard University, has trained and performed at the Moscow Art Theatre School in Russia, and has coached youth summer baseball for the New York Yankees. He is not nearly as good at baseball as this last fact would suggest.
Brilliant matchmaker that she was, Sasha's grandmother used to pitch him to the other yentas, saying, "The comedy of Ben Feldman meets the ease and depth of Mark Ruffalo." He did not correct her, though he might add some Punch Drunk Love-era Adam Sandler into the mix.
