Gunnar Nimpuno(I)

Gunnar is one of the most outstanding directors of photography (DoP) in the contemporary Indonesian Cinema. His styles range from realist documentary approach to stylistic genre films. He has a signature as a director of photography: raw and beautiful. His long experiences started from the world of advertising due to his background in visual communication. He has served as an assistant cameraman for many veteran DoP of commercial films. Gunnar shot some of Indonesia's high profile films, including The Dreamers (2009), Modus Anomali (2012), Atambua 39ºC (2012), The Killers (2014) and the highly anticipated martial arts film The Golden Cane Warrior released in December 2014.
