Dylan Coleman-Blount is an American motion picture maker best known for his unique style & puzzle box story structures. He is best known for directing the Occasion (2024). Dylan was born in Kentucky. He began his creative career as a radio DJ. He co-created a radio play called 'Pterodactyl Island' along with Jacob Goldberg and Josh Gibson. Following their journey into sound and storytelling Jacob Goldberg and Dylan Blount wrote and directed a feature film called, 'the Townie', a black and white odyssey in the vein of 'Alphaville' or 'Breathless', an American new new wave motion picture about toxic masculinity. After a modest distribution Dylan Blount teamed with Zak Norton (Loofo) & Mason Roberts (Hooker with a Hacksaw) to create their award winning sex comedy 'S.T.Z.' After winning the Spotlight Short Film Bronze Award in 2015 Dylan Blount teamed up with past co-creator Jacob Goldberg and made 'Papa Nogoody's House of Love'. Local author Walter Bosco wrote in his review "In genre Papa Nogoody could be listed avant garde mind-body-horror. It could also be an Alien signal interrupted a broadcast of the Twilight Zone... A world irradiated by prismatic moonshine...Like a tarot reading, it's meaning is gained through personal reflection." Gaining popularity Dylan Blount went on to direct 'Hermes' (2017) winning multiple awards in Italy with cult icon Steve Guynn (Sharks of the Corn, Breakfast Impossible). Once Dylan worked with Steve Guynn he decided he was ready to make his biggest motion picture yet.
