He studied at the renowned Portuguese drama school, Escola Superior de Teatro e Cinema where he finished his BA with distinction opening a new path for the National Theater Dona Maria II where he worked for three years in a row doing a number of plays including "Cyrano of Bergerac". He also worked as a music teacher while supporting his studies.
