He said in the video, “We found this here. Do this (littering) at your home and not here. We heard locals are littering the place.

Love Storiyaan
Except for one story in this six-tiered ache cake with no icing, there is nothing unusual about the love stories that are a part of this cuddlesome omnibus.
What makes Love Storiyaan so desirable is its unwavering mood of love conquers all. Aekta and Ullekh in the first story, An Unsuitable Girl, directed by Hardik Mehta are hardly your Romeo and Juliet. She is a 40-plus divorcee with two grownup daughters. He is a patient suitor. And the real story here is between Ullek and Aekta’s younger daughter whom he must win over before marriage happens.
It is this quality of deflected affinity that often takes the seemingly routine relationship to the level close to an epic love story.
In the second story, Love On Air, set in arresting Assam, directed by Vivek Soni (whose voice is the third protagonist from behind the camera) two disc jockeys Rajni and Nick,...

Former Disney India head and leading producer Siddharth Roy Kapur has warned of some practices that could arise in making films for streamers.
Delivering the keynote address at the Jio Mami Mumbai Film Festival’s Industry Connect Symposium on Monday, Kapur, who is currently basking in the success of International Emmy nominated series “Rocket Boys” for streamer SonyLIV, lauded the positives brought to the industry by the platforms but also pointed out the pitfalls.
Speaking about films made for theatrical release, Kapur said that while the recoupment for them in the government funded European industries might be a Cannes slot, in India it is monetary as well. “I have to say that at times, we shy away from it. Mumbai, April 3 (Ians) Director-writer Hardik Mehta, who is known for his work in Ott series ‘Decoupled’ and the film ‘Kaamyaab’, feels that while directors and actors come with an expiry date, it’s the writers who transcend the boundaries of time as their creations stay relevant for a long time.
Hardik recently took to the story section of his Instagram and shared a collage of the posters of the Akshay Kumar, Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Ajay Devgn-starrer ‘Khakhee’ and the Shah Rukh Khan, John Abraham and Deepika Padukone-starrer blockbuster ‘Pathaan’.
Drawing the parallels between the two films, he wrote on the picture, “Both ‘Khakhee’ and ‘Pathaan’ are written by screenwriter Shridhar Raghavan. In both the films, the antagonist is a rogue from within the system and also a fab star casting. Both films have their female star protagonists side with the antagonists of the film at a very crucial juncture.

Roohi; Cast: Rajkummar Rao, Janhvi Kapoor, Varun Sharma, Alexx O'Nell, Manav Vij; Direction: Hardik Mehta; Rating: * * (two stars)
By Vinayak Chakravorty
Stree was smart stuff, Roohi seems like random fare. The comparison had to crop up, the only reason the producers seem to have made Roohi is because they struck gold with Stree. Blending horror with humour looked so easy in Stree. Clearly it isn't, you realise watching Roohi.
It doesn't take you long to understand why Roohi slips, despite having a core idea that could have been moulded into a winner. The film lacks imaginative storytelling. Stree, scripted by Raj and Dk, struck a fine balance crafting the dicey sub-genre of horror comedy, at the same time delivering a societal comment without getting preachy about it.
In contrast, Roohi writers Mrighdeep Singh Lamba (he wrote and directed the Fukrey films) and Gautam Mehra struggle from early on. The few good jokes are sporadic,...

Roohi movie review is here. The Hindi language horror comedy film directed by Hardik Mehta is produced by Dinesh Vijan and Mrighdeep Singh Lamba under the banner Maddock Films in association with Jio Studios. Roohi stars Rajkummar Rao, Janhvi Kapoor and Varun Sharma in main leads. Roohi is hitting the screens on 11 March 2021.
Roohi movie review
Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock is back with another horror after the amazing Stree (2018). As per the Maddock’s horror tradition, Roohi is a delightful horror comedy that has a surprisingly unique meta layer.
Set somewhere in Uttar Pradesh two buddies Bhawra (Rajkummar Rao) and Kattanni (Varun Sharma) are part of the groom kidnapping (Pakaruah shaadi / Jabaria shaadi) gang led by Guniya Shakeel (Manav Vij). One day they get the assignment to kidnap Roohi (Janhvi Kapoor). Circumstances forced Bhawra and Kattanni to keep Roohi at a safe place amidst the jungle for a few days.

What if a song could give us a warm embrace, and melt right into our hearts? The makers of Roohi weave one such magical melody. Kiston, the latest track from the horror comedy, is all set to charm diehard fans of pyaar, ishq and mohabbat.
Featuring leads Rajkummar Rao, Janhvi Kapoor and Varun Sharma, the romantic ballad celebrates the essence of pure, soothing and innocent love.
While Rajkummar and Janhvi’s chemistry exudes a serene and soulful vibe, Varun’s adorable act showcases the cute and clumsy side of romance.
Composed by Sachin-Jigar and penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya, Jubin Nautiyal has lent his sublime voice to the track.
“Kiston is an innocent love song. Especially in the pacy dancey sonic that our music albums range this should be a refreshing change. We are hoping that simple tunes like Kiston find someplace in listener’s hearts and give them a sense of unadulterated romance.

Mumbai, Feb 26: Bollywood buffs are in for a lot of fresh pairs on screen this year. After the nearly complete no-show in 2020, many films set for release this year feature actors who have never shared the screen before.
Casting director and filmmaker Mukesh Chhabra says that seeing different actors pair up on screen for the first time is always a treat. "People love to see anything that is out of the box. So this is why they love it when new actors work together. Also, actors, too, are experimenting and they love to try out something new. It gives a very fresh look on screen. If you team up actors who have worked with each other before, you feel like they have been seen together so many times," says Chhabra.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh adds that this kind of pairing also brings in the numbers. "People are excited to see fresh pairings on screen.

Mumbai, Feb 25: Varun Sharma calls his next release Roohi the crazier sister of the 2018 Rajkummar Rao starrer Stree.
After Stree released in 2018, there has been a slew of horror comedies including Laxmii, and upcoming projects as Phone Bhoot, Bhoot Police, and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, besides Roohi. Varun Sharma, however, is not scared of the competition.
"There is no fear as such. It is a new genre that got explored widely through Stree and we feel that Roohi is Stree's much crazier sister and the genre is widely accepted and people got exposed to and they liked it and I feel a lot of other films also. Whichever content is liked by people at the end of the day is (going to be made)," said Varun Sharma.
He added, "We really hope that the audience really enjoys (Roohi) as much as we enjoyed making the film. I mean there is nothing to fear about.

Moving away from regular horror, Bollywood is lately warming up to the idea of serving scares with a spot of humour. The horror comedy as a genre is suddenly in vogue among mainstream Hindi filmmakers.
The genre existed in the Hindi film industry for ages -- the old classic "Bhoot Bangla" and recent releases such as "Bhul Bhulaiyaa", "Bhootnath", "Go Goa Gone" and "Stree" come to mind. These films, however, were one-off cases. What is happening now is that Bollywood filmmakers have suddenly taken interest in the genre of horror comedy in a way that it seems like the genre is here to stay. Importantly, the new crop of films serve the funny scares with a new-age spin and a message.
We look at a few horror comedy films that are all set to hit the screens.
Bhoot Police
The film stars Saif Ali Khan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Yami Gautam and Arjun Kapoor.

It is an exceptionally windy night. Monsoon has shown its face and the raindrops are dramatically falling over everywhere. Sitting in a car, Sanjay Mishra’s elderly character is leaning over his window. There are all blues and blacks outside and you see this actor as a sort of maniacal joker in his own narrative. There’s this uncanny visual similarity with The Dark Knight and a feeling that you just can’t dust off. A person that has been ridiculed with an absolute apathy by society – a misunderstood freak struggling to understand the purpose of all the years he has spent on the earth – that’s the common thread. Being Kaamyaab (Successful) has always been a wish of this protagonist from ‘Kaamyaab’. The film, which was a part of last year’s Mami film festival, finally gets a wide theatrical release in India.
Sanjay Mishra plays Sudheer, the protagonist of this film.

Sanjay Mishra is an actor who never fails to surprise. His gallery of performances ranges from buffoonery (Golmaal) to sheer brilliance (Ankhen Dekhi). There is nothing this maverick performer can’t do.
His new film Kaamyaab features Sanjay as a ‘character actor’ of Hindi cinema on a very strange mission.
“My character Sudheer is a character actor like Kader Khan, Shakti Kapoor or Lalita Pawar, so brilliant that anyone can take him from granted as and how they like. Sudheer has already done 499 films in his career. He is retired and aimless when suddenly something happens, and he wants to do that one last film which would round off his career. He wants to be remembered as the only actor who has done 500 films,” says Sanjay Mishra.

Starring Sanjay Mishra, Deepak Dobriyal,Sareeka Singh
Written & Directed by Hardik Mehta
Kaamyaab is a very rare and precious film. It takes us into the lives of those unsung senior artistes who are not ‘junior artistes’—that derogatory term given to the blur of people who stands in crowds – but aren’t stars neither.
We could call them the Nowhere People, na idhar ke na udhar ke…Think about Om Prakash, Kanhaiyalal, Manmohan Krishna, Nasir Hussain, Iftiker,…They are all gone remembered for the way they blended into the fabric of the films that they kept appearing in with stubborn persistence.
