- Jeroen van der Zee was raised in Herwen, a town in the province of Gelderland, the Netherlands but moved to Amsterdam to pursue his dream of becoming a screenwriter. He followed his first screenwriting course at age 17 and one year later he earned his first money for writing. Not for television but writing a photo comic in a teen magazine.
His first real screenwriting job came when he reached the age of 20. After seeing an online add asking for a young screenwriter, he applied with sending a short movie script and as a result he got a phone call from Anjali Taneja telling him that he was hired for Dutch television show Het huis Anubis (2006). Once the show was over, he kept on working with Anjali Taneja on Het huis Anubis en de vijf van het magische zwaard (2010), Vrijland (2010), De Magische Wereld van Pardoes (2011) and Het Mysterie van (2013)
Since 2012 Jeroen is also a staff writer for Dutch's most popular soap opera Goede tijden, slechte tijden (1990). He currently (2014) resides in Utrecht, The Netherlands.- IMDb Mini Biography By: KangarooJoe
