Born in Silves, Algarve, Rui Filipe Guerreiro went to Lisbon
in the early 1990s to pursue his dream of becoming a DJ in a
national radio. He accomplished his dream on Portuguese public radio
station Antena 1, but left soon after to work in television. He began
his career as a production assistant on several TV shows. He was also
an editor, voice-over talent, producer and, in the last years of his
life, he began directing several successful live morning talk shows.
When he died in a car accident in 2000, at the age of 28, Portuguese
television lost one of his most talented professionals. Ten years after
his death, his name was still in the end credits of several shows as a
celebration of his talent and his unique personality.
