Daniel Reiser (SAG, AFTRA) is a graduate of NYU's Tisch School of the Arts where he received a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree. At NYU, Daniel attended Playwrights Horizons and the Lee Strasburg Theatre Institute. At Lee Strasburg, he spent four years under the tutelage of Geoffrey Horne and the late Irma Sandrey learning method acting. This technique of acting is based upon an actor's emotion and imagination. Among the concepts and techniques of method acting that were taught to him during his four years at Lee Strasburg were the practices of substitution, "as if", sense memory, affective memory, and animal work. These are the essential elements of the Method Technique of acting founded on the principles and first developed by Konstantin Stanislavski .
Upon graduation , Daniel founded a theatre and film production company, DDR Productions. The company produced Off-Off and Off-Broadway productions of Hurlyburly, Criminal Genius, Fool for Love and Zoo Story and The Loveliest Afternoon of the Year. Other stage credits include The Marriage of Bette and Boo, The Glass Menagerie and The Mousetrap. Daniel's passion early in his career was theatre, but he has found recent success for his film work. Daniel's short film, 3.5, took home 3 awards at the 2018 Golden Door International Film Festival. He received the award for Best Actor in a Short Film and the film was also awarded Best Concept for a Short Film and Best Actress in a Short Film.
Daniel is delighted to be back acting after a 15 year hiatus from the profession. During that time, he married and started a family (4 boys) and attended Graduate School at NYU where he earned a degree in Real Estate Development. Daniel also is the Vice President of Panepinto Properties. A real estate development company in his hometown of Jersey City, NJ.
