- Born in Astoria, Queens the same neighborhood as his favorite actor Christopher Walken, and born at the exact center of the year, July 2, which is the 182nd and a half day from January 1st.
- Is an avid pool player, having had played almost semi professionally after his Army years.
- Frequently performs stand up comedy and has a penchant for dark comic roles in film.
- Three of his early films dealt with the subject of suicide. Thankfully his characters survived 2 out of 3 times. Two out of three 'aint bad he says.
- When he is not acting or auditioning for roles he likes to write plays, dark comedy screenplays, and is an amateur violinist and oil painter.
- Is of Greek descent.
- He studied drama at the HB Studios in Greenwich Village in New York City.
- Graduated from Newtown High School (Class of '77) in Elmhurst, Queens, the same school as Carrol O'Connor and Don Rickles.
