Writer/Director Ali Reza Askari was born in New York and raised in Missouri, Arizona and Florida. Askari studied film at the New York Film Academy and the Los Angeles Film School. His work includes the short film "Dark All Around", which premiered at the 64th Cannes Film Festival in the short film corner. He has worked with such actors as Michael Kenneth Williams ("The Wire"), Paul Sorvino ("Goodfellas"), Josh Helman ("Mad Max: Fury Road) and Yael Stone ("Orange is the New Black"), amongst others.
