Jitendra Rai, director of the dramatic short film, ‘Baitullah’, shared that he got an idea about his latest short while shooting for the previous one titled ‘Cup of Tea’. In fact, ‘Baitullah’ is a good example of active give and take between a storyteller and the audience.

Elaborating on the same, Rai stated: “Basically, I made a short film ‘Cup of Tea’ before this on the importance of education for children which got viral. When I read comments of audiences on that film, I realized that I should have made a film on child labour first.

“So, you can say that the idea of making ‘Baitullah’ was born from the short film ‘Cup of Tea’. I couldn’t ignore the child labour which I had seen while making ‘Cup of Tea’ which left me with the sense of helplessness. Hence, I decided to bring this up to the society as...

Kapil Sharma, who is all set to launch the new season of his popular reality TV series ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’, has shared a picture of him posing with Bollywood actress Huma Qureshi. Faruk Kabir’s Khuda Haafiz in 2020 was an extremely mundane fare, at best a timepasser during a desperate lockdown evening.

The second chapter in the Khuda Haafiz series is a far more laudable endeavour. It is a tautly told tightly edited(Sandeep Francis) thriller about child rape. Writer-director Faruk Kabir grinds his boots into the vile act with a persuasive force. The action is never gratuitous, but extremely wrathful and brutal.

There is a moment when the protagonist Sameer(Jammwal) gets to know the 12-13 year old boy standing sobbing in from of him had raped his 5-year old daughter.

Mumbai, Nov 19 (Ians) Actor Ishtiyak Khan got to work with filmmaker Anurag Basu in the recent release, Ludo. He says Basu treats actors with love and never makes them feel low when they make mistakes.

"This the first time I got to work with Anurag sir and I was really excited for this one because his films are phenomenal. He is the one who already maps out everything in mind, from character's timing to background score and scene timings. He visualises everything in advance which the best thing that I have learnt from him," said Ishtiyak, who has featured in films like Tamasha and Fukrey Returns.

Sharing an anecdote from the set of Ludo, he said: "There was a scene with Aditya Roy Kapur where I was supposed to shout at him. It was my first day on set and was challenging for me. Anurag sir doesn't give scripts in advance.
