Manie Malone is an African-born French and Ivorian actress and screenwriter of Spanish descent
Named as the "chameleon woman " Malone is a multi-racial artist with multi-cultural influences from Europe, Africa, United States.
Malone is the recipient of accolades including the Association des Trophées Francophones du Cinéma award for Best Actress, a Los Angeles Film Festival award for Best Supporting , as well as a nomination by the Africa Movie Academy Awards for Best Actress in a leading role.
Malone gained recognition for her performances on stage as well in classic and contemporary plays. Instead of pursuing immediately on screen after this first experience, Malone choses to push her skills further on stage. She gets acting trainings then auditions for plays "where the challenge brings so much adrenaline". Malone focuses her acting formation on different workshops to "escape the formatting" and remain "free minded and challenged in her creativity". She studies in courses, notably based on methods Stella Adler and Lee Strasberg methods under the direction of American coaches Jordan Bisweck, Jack Waltzer and Jack Garfein. Malone also attends French Studio Pygmalion for a short time directed by Pascal Luneau.
Between 2005 and 2012 Malone shows an ability to encompass a wide range of characters in various registers both in stage actress credits that include performances such as Martha in the Misunderstanding (2008), The Lady in Roberto Zucco (2011) and in shorts The Psychiatrist in 5150 Hold (2010), the Bohême Chic Marielle in La Main Dans Le Sac (2011) and in short films.
During the same period, Malone appears to be also an athletic actress on screen. She intensively learns and trains Thaï boxing, to fight to death as Hadiya, the clandestine boxer in Kami (2008) and becomes a scientist addicted to racing in the aesthetic mystery essay Quelques Vagues et l'Ame (2011).

The role is facing Captain Hook starred by Hugh Jackman in Pan (Warner). While Malone's live audition in London is perceived as "insightful", American actress Rooney Mara gets the part.
In 2017, Malone is offered her first English acting part in TV series Agent. She flights to Mauritius and co-works with South African artists and technicians. The show has been broadcasted on Canal Plus International and worldwide release on Netflix since January 2020. Agent is nominated Best TV Drama 2021 and wins Best Achievement in Art Direction at South African Films and Television Awards. Malone's performing Nina Sankara in 8 of 13 episodes shows a new total transforming role and is positively received. In an interview to A+ Magazine Malone remembers "I had just arrived from airport to promote a feature film. I was jetlagged when I got into the 6 hours meeting where all the countries of Africa were represented. The subject of the meeting was Solidarity, with a reflection and a willingness to bring coherent and consistent propositions. It was very captivating". Hearing your name among others suddenly pronounced during such interesting circumstances makes you realize how much taking part into Cinema might be also a responsibility in terms of representation.
In 2015, Malone is invited by Trophées Francophones du Cinema and awards young African directors at the Palais de la Culture in Abidjan in attendance of Madame Dominique Ouattara, First Lady of the Republic of Ivory Coast, and Sir Maurice Bandaman, Minister of Culture and Francophonie. Malone proposes to share her passion for creating characters and offers a free masterclass about Acting and the Essence of a Character to students from Insaac National Higher Institute of Fine Arts and Arts in West Africa (Abidjan-RCI).
Over the years, Malone has been an advocate for "unrooted "people as well for refugees and migrants. She has been regularly using her social media accounts to sensitize the public about human rights and highlight the vulnerability of families forced to flee conflict and persecution worldwide, what she terms "forgotten emergencies".
Malone involves for exiles cause artistically both as an actress and as a screen-writer. In the short film Kami Malone embodies the personal stories of the world's most vulnerable refugees as Khadidja, a clandestine migrant who fights to death in boxing tournaments to make money and survive.
