Mike Olafson

Mike Olafson is a writer/producer/director/actor who absorbed a wealth of iconic pop culture as a child in the 1970s. Those formative years imprinted Olafson with a cultural DNA which drives his vision of creating films that are reminiscent of those from the 1960s and 1970s. Through his production company American Vintage Pictures, Olafson typically shoots on 16mm film or even Super 8mm film to capture the vintage aesthetic he seeks to create. His talents as a writer and director lend themselves to his acting abilities in terms of understanding the depth and drive of the characters he portrays as well as understanding how to best deliver what the Director is looking for. He spends his time between his studio in Denver, Colorado or working to develop his movie ranch outside Trinidad, Colorado.
