Last month, JoBlo Media and Octane Multimedia teamed up to launch a new YouTube channel named JoBlo TV, which hosts multiple feature films to watch for free throughout the week. The genres we’ll be focusing on at JoBlo TV are Action, Horror, Sci-Fi, Fantasy, and Thrillers – but for the month of October, we’re celebrating Halloween all month long with our JoBlotober event. It’s all horror all the time, and the latest batch of movies on the channel featured creatures and the supernatural.
The movies that have been released on JoBlo TV over the last week are A Wakefield Project, Blood Bags, and Painted in Blood. Here’s some information on each one of them:

About a year and a half ago, Texas Chainsaw 3D (watch it Here) star Alexandra Daddario gave an interview where she had some interesting things to say about her time working on the film (which just celebrated its 10th anniversary earlier this month). Daddario revealed that she had tried to get the “Do you thing, cuz!” line cut, and that she is very grateful to have been in the movie. Not just because she was having trouble getting work at the time, but also because there were severe issues to overcome during the production and it taught her “what happens when things go wrong, what happens when things go right, why did they go wrong, why shouldn’t they have happened, how does the studio get involved when something goes wrong, how studios interact with projects.” Now, during a new interview on The Kelly Clarkson Show, Daddario seems to have...

The fourth installment of Syfy's mega-popular Sharknado series premiered Sunday. And in case there was any question that The 4th Awakens would be a slight Star Wars parody, the film answered that right away by opening with an "Episode IV" scrolling prologue reminiscent of George Lucas' space franchise.
Ian Ziering was back as chainsaw-touting Fin Shepard, alongside Tara Reid and David Hasselhoff. With a new team of allies by their side, they battled the Sharknados – which this time have evolved into fire-breathing, hail-throwing, sand-blasting threats.
They also spewed their fair share of Star Wars puns, including a "May the force be with you" line,...

You just can’t keep a good psycho killer down. Even though 2013′s Texas Chainsaw 3D opened to paltry reviews and smaller box office numbers than 2003′s The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, the slasher reboot did well enough to get sequel talk started quickly. Now, a year after Texas Chainsaw 3D, we still knew very little about whether Millenium Films is actually working to bring us another installment – until yesterday.
Bloody Disgusting was very recently tipped off by an anonymous source that Lionsgate is back in talks to bring the next installment of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre to theaters. However, the movie that Bloody Disgusting has heard about isn’t a direct sequel to last year’s reboot, despite that entry ending on a cliffhanger and setting up brand new family dynamics.
Instead, the site reports that an unidentified writer is in talks to pen a script that centers on Leatherface’s “teenage years.

File this one under "Wow, Really?!?" Some quick and pretty damned strange news has come in regarding the next installment in the Texas Chainsaw franchise as it's looking like we're getting another prequel. A prequel to the tenth power even.
The filmmakers behind Texas Chainsaw 3D (Unrated Blu-ray/DVD review here) were never big on mathematics, as proven by their "direct sequel" to Tobe Hooper's seminal classic which found the ages of characters all over the place with little to nothing making sense in terms of the whens and the wheres. That is, however, another story.
Right now Bloody Disgusting is reporting that "an unidentified writer is rumored to be in talks to pen Leatherface’s 'teenage years.' This would mean that Dan Yeager would not be returning as the iconic chainsaw-wielding slasher, and that it would be [another] sequel to Tobe Hooper’s 1974 TCM… and a prequel to last year’s TC3D.

2013 horror films don't get much more polarizing than Texas Chainsaw 3D, a sequel/reboot that left many horror fans underwhelmed, to say the least. Personally, I dug it, and I was a big fan of the look of Leatherface in the film, portrayed for the very first time by Dan Yeager. Nearly every other incarnation of Leatherface has been immortalized in collectibles and action figures, and Chainsaw 3D Leatherface gets the same treatment this year, courtesy of Hollywood Collectibles Group.
This brand new heavyweight polystone statue just went up for pre-order from the company, measuring a massive 20" tall and coming complete with a base and freshly sliced off arm. Limited to only 500 pieces worldwide, the statue is selling for $329.95, and it's set to begin shipping out in the 2nd quarter of this year. If you want one, don't hesitate, because it's sure to last as long as a hapless victim that stumbles into Leatherface's domain.

"Texas Chainsaw 3D" hit Blu-ray, DVD, and digital download this week, so we hopped on the phone with the movie's deadly heroine, Alexandra Daddario, about how she looks back on her run-in with Leatherface, whether her own movie can actually scare her, and what it's like to go crazy on screen.
Check out our full interview with Alexandra Daddario after the jump!
How has it been looking back on "Texas Chainsaw 3D"?
It's great. I had a really fun time shooting it, so it's sort of cool every time I do a movie, it's like a documentation. You remember where you were doing each scenes. "Oh my god, it was so hot that day." It's kind of cool to see a movie that you haven't seen in a long time and reflect on that stuff.
Were you able to participate in any of the Blu-ray commentaries?
I did not actually.

Film: "Texas Chainsaw 3D"; Cast: Alexandra Daddario, Dan Yeager, Trey Songz, Scott Eastwood, Tania Raymonde, Shaun Sipos, Keram Malicki-Sanchez, James MacDonald, Thom Barry, Paul Rae, and Marilyn Burns; Director: John Luessenhop; Rating: **
The two stars that "Texas Chainsaw 3D" gets is because everything is relative. Given the genre, the look and feel of the film, it deserves this and nothing less.
The prologue establishes that the current saga is directly linked to the 1974 released Tobe Hooper's original "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre". The latest one in the franchise, picks up right where the "...Massacre" left off, with a fair-minded sheriff (Thom Barry) arriving at a farmhouse to arrest a member of the cannibalistic.

Lionsgate has announced the 3D/2D Blu-Ray release of Texas Chainsaw 3D for April. The sequel to the Tobe Hooper original stars Alexandra Daddario, Scott Eastwood and Dan Yeager.
I’ve never been a huge fan of Tobe Hooper’s original Texas Chain Saw Massacre. I appreciate everything that it has done for the horror genre at large, but I think I’ve only viewed it twice. I actually enjoyed the remake to an extent and the prequel even more, while not really caring for any of the original sequels.
I went into this sequel to the original with no real expectations. Like I said before, I didn’t love the original film or the sequels, but I dug the remake and its prequel enough to warrant revisiting them from time to time. The trailers and marketing for Lionsgate’s new entry looked pretty bad, with so many images getting lifted directly from previous material,...

Love it or hate it, Texas Chainsaw 3D made an impact on genre fans. That being said, the one thing nearly everyone can agree upon is the fact that for a majority of the movie Leatherface's mask is easily the worst of the franchise. Get ready for a peek at what could have been.

Texas Chainsaw 3D is a strange animal. Everything about the flick is wonky and weird, and we guess in some way that's kind of appropriate. In any event don't get too revved up about a sequel yet, kids, as there's more to the saw. No idea what that "more to the saw" means, but it sounded cool.
Yesterday Deadline announced that Texas Chainsaw 4 was on the way, which is befuddling in and of itself as there are several sequels, one remake, and one prequel already; however Texas Chainsaw 3D was said to be a direct sequel to the original, really making it Texas Chainsaw 2 so a sequel to that would have been Texas Chainsaw 3 and not Texas Chainsaw 4, but we must remember that this new series is also home to a 40-year-old character portrayed by a 26-year-old hottie. Where was I? Oh yeah...

Texas Chainsaw 3D is killing it in theaters and Millennium Films just announced a plan to go ahead with the next installment of the reboot, Texas Chainsaw 4. Production will begin this year in Louisiana and will include producer Carl Mazzocone, as well as exec producers Mark Burg, Avi Lerner, Tobe Hooper, Trevor Short, John Thompson, Danny Dimbort, Lati Grobman and Christa Campbell.
No word on a writer or director as of yet, if it will be in 3D, or if Dan Yeager will return. Also, the title is a little confusing. Why Texas Chainsaw 4? Wouldn’t that mean they skipped an installment in this franchise?
We’ll update you on any news we get about the next chapter, until then check out our complete coverage of Texas Chainsaw 3D and the original franchise here.

In an announcement that surprised no one given Texas Chainsaw 3D's number one spot at the box office last weekend, Millennium Films is moving ahead with Texas Chainsaw 4, and production will begin later this year in Louisiana.
Per Deadline, the next installment will be spearheaded by producer Carl Mazzocone, executive producers Mark Burg, Avi Lerner, Tobe Hooper, Trevor Short, John Thompson, Danny Dimbort, Lati Grobman, and Christa Campbell. Considering TC3D took in a surprisingly high $21.7 million gross and a per screen average of $8,193 on 2,654 screens, Millennium is smart to strike while the iron is hot.
“Lati and Christa brought the idea of this franchise to us. They were certain of the audience appeal so we signed on,” Millennium Films Chairman Avi Lerner said, “and it turns out they were right. It was a bloody good decision. Lionsgate agreed to distribute the film in the Us and did a fantastic job.

Every film viewer has a bias, a preference. How many times have you tried to show someone a brilliant film in your opinion only to be met with indifference or criticism? Such is film — it’s subjective. When it comes to myself, I can best be described as a horror sympathizer. Whereas some other genres have to win me over in some way to get me in a seat, then to be content about it, I want to see a horror film. I want them to be good. To that end, I will search hard for things a horror does right, however slight they may be.

Leatherface and family destroyed the hefty weekend box office competition, including those pesky Hobbitses, bringing in $23 million.
This was a surprise to many considering the film score a 21% on the Tomato Meter. But, horror fans know what they like, and they clearly like Texas Chainsaw 3D - at least the younger ones.
“In an era where moviegoing has fallen off among teenagers and younger adults, Texas Chainsaw was an exception, with 63 percent of the audience under the age of 25. Among this demo, one out of three said a major draw was singer-songwriter Trey Songz, who stars in the film alongside Alexandra Daddario and Dan Yeager,” The Hollywood Reporter said.
Texas Chainsaw 3D is also unique in that 83% of fans watched it in 3D compared to the average of 50% for other films. Makes perfect sense. If given a choice, why wouldn’t you pick the one that offers gore flying at your face?...

Despite whether you enjoyed John Luessenhop‘s Texas Chainsaw 3D or not, Leatherface scared up $10.2 million his opening day alone, and is looking at earnings between $20 – $30 million for the entire weekend, pretty much assuring our chainsaw-wielding maniac will be the king of Hollywood for at least one weekend.
I personally didn’t find much to love in Texas Chainsaw 3D, as you can see from my review, and most critics have echoed the same complaints – but studios don’t care about reviews. If the monetary gain is there, and people are showing up for their film, a sequel is almost inevitable in today’s market.
Thanks to Bloody Disgusting, we can now officially confirm Luessenhop’s film is looking to be the start of an entirely new Texas Chainsaw franchise, with a sequel already in motion. Honestly, news of a sequel isn’t all that surprising really, but it’s...

New 'Texas Chainsaw 3D' movie delivered great thrills, suspense & more. Lionsgate released their new horror/thriller flick "Texas Chainsaw 3D" into theaters this weekend. I just checked it out,and thought it was quite entertaining as it featured sexy girls, lots of horror/thrills,and major suspense. It stars: Alexandra Daddario, Dan Yeager, Tremaine 'Trey Songz' Neverson, Scott Eastwood, Tania Raymonde, Thom Barry, Paul Rae, Bill Moseley, and Gunnar Hansen. In the new flick, character Mayor Burt Hartman and the townspeople of Newt,Texas decided to burn down the farmhouse of the Sawyer family for their role in aiding Jejmndediah "Jed" Sawyer, also known as "Leatherface", to pull off several murders. The arsonists are celebrated as heroes in the town, and the entire family is presumed dead. However, we soon learn that leather face survived, and one of the Sawyer babies named Edith, was found by one of the townsmen,...

Things are looking really good for Leatherface and the Sawyer clan! While we're waiting for the official box office tally to come in, news has hit the net that if this one is successful, the producers behind Texas Chainsaw 3D have acquired the rights to make up to 7 films, including this one!
According to Bloody Disgusting this Leatherface adventure is the beginning of an entire new franchise at Lionsgate, and as always, the success of each film dictates what comes next.
Entertainment Weekly reports that if Texas Chainsaw 3D turns out to be a hit, a sequel could be in production as early as this summer. Producers have signed all the actors who survive the first movie for subsequent installations.

What do you do with a horror franchise which has already been sequeled, prequeled, rebooted, and remade? Why, make a 3D sequel of course! But not just any sequel, no. John Luessenhop‘s Leatherface rebirth takes place literally moments after Tobe Hoober’s original The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, just as Sally (Marilyn Burns) escapes a gruesome fate during a twisted family dinner – egotistically pushing aside every other director’s franchise entry in favor of Texas Chainsaw 3D. “Forget ‘Chop-Top’ Bill Moseley, Matthew McConaughey, Renée Zellweger, Dennis Hopper, and Viggo Mortensen – “my entry is the only worthy follow-up to Hooper’s iconic horror classic,” is exactly what Luessenhop is saying.
Too bad his film doesn’t live up to such a bold statement, not even achieving genre watchability found in Hooper’s sequel or Marcus Nispel’s 2003 remake. Nope, just add Texas Chainsaw 3D to the towering pile of unnecessary horror revamps,...

John Lussenhop's Texas Chainsaw 3D opens with what are undeniably its best moments: the film's title credits, juxtaposed over a highlight reel of Tobe Hooper's 1974 original, stunningly post-converted into phenomenal 3D. Nearly 40 years later, Daniel Pearl's gritty photography has never looked so gorgeous, and seeing Marilyn Burns pop off the big screen as a now three-dimensional Gunnar Hansen pursues her through the night is a genuine joy. The footage, even in snippet form, still packs a wallop that's primal, fierce, and unequaled. Aggressively marketing itself as a "direct sequel" to the original masterpiece (and apparently forgetting Hooper made his own "direct sequel" back in '86), Texas Chainsaw picks up minutes after the original wraps up, with a bummed-out Leatherface (newcomer Dan Yeager) returning...

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre franchise has a habit of casting actors on the cusp of fame, be they Matthew McConaughey and Renée Zellweger in 1994′s Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Next Generation, Jessica Biel in the 2003 remake of Tobe Hooper’s original classic shocker, or Matt Bomer in 2006′s The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning. The latest thespian hoping to benefit from what we’re going to call “the Chainsaw bump” is Alexandra Daddario (Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief) who plays the heroine in Texas Chainsaw 3D, which arrives in cinemas this Friday.
