Anna is serving time for murdering her husband, and Hoon is on the run for a murder of his own. They meet when Anna receives compassionate leave when her mother passes away and is on the way to her hometown of Seattle. In the three short days Anna and Hoon share, an intense if brief romance unfolds between them. They fall in love almost immediately. Anna knows she is headed back to prison and that Hoon will continue to run, but they vow to meet again.

Two years later, Anna is released and waits for Hoon as agreed. However, Hoon does not show up.
