Anna-Sigga Nicolazzi is the host and co-executive producer of the true-crime television series, True Conviction. The show's third season will air on Investigation Discovery in early 2021. True Conviction features the work of prosecutors and law enforcement around the country as they discuss their most challenging homicide cases.
Prior to hosting True Conviction, Anna-Sigga served as a homicide prosecutor for over 20 years in the Brooklyn District Attorney's Office of New York. Her most recent role was as Chief of Trials in the office's Homicide Bureau. Specializing in multiple defendants, double-jury, and other complex cases, Nicolazzi has worked on hundreds of investigations and tried over 50 felony cases, 35 of them homicides.
Anna-Sigga is also the founder of Forseti Media and the creator and co-host of the podcast, Anatomy of Murder. The weekly podcast examines homicide cases and paths to justice for the victims, giving an insider's perspective along the way.
Anna-Sigga Nicolazzi frequently appears as a legal analyst on national television networks and lectures and teaches nationwide. She has participated as faculty at Harvard Law School's esteemed program, the winter Trial Advocacy Workshop, since 2015.
In 2008, Ms. Nicolazzi received the National District Attorneys Association's Home Run Hitter Award, awarded by peers from across the nation. In 2005, she was the inaugural recipient of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York's Thomas E. Dewey Medal, awarded annually to outstanding assistant district attorneys in New York's five boroughs.
