Raj Padmanabh

Raj Padmanabh is a Saskatchewan resident and has lived in Saskatoon for over 40 years. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Drama with areas of specialization in both directing and acting from the University of Saskatchewan, which boasts the oldest drama department in the commonwealth. Photography was his secondary focus while attending the U of S. Raj has directed numerous productions and has acted in over 40 theatre productions, 5 feature motion pictures, 5 commercials, 3 television series' episodes and edited 3 national documentaries. He has also done 150+ voice-overs for presentations, advertising, and documentaries. Photography experience includes an art portfolio of people and places, explorations of light and shadow, night photography in both black and white and colour. Raj's experience in multiple film formats and digital photography gained him positions as an aerial photographer, developing modeling portfolios, acting head-shots, CD covers, marketing photography, and art photography. He has also has worked in marketing and advertising in sales and as a creative writer. In 2005-06, Raj attended Stanford University for Final Cut Pro editing levels 1, II, and Masters, as well as Shake Professional Compositing & Effects. He received certificates from The Digital Media Academy(Apple Certified) for all levels. In 2006, Raj successfully completed the Apple Final Cut Pro Trainer course in Santa Monica for Final Cut Pro making him the one of the few Final Cut Pro Certified Trainers in Canada. Raj is currently an Apple Certified Trainer for Final Cut Pro X. Raj was a speaker on Final Cut Pro at the 2007 and 2008 National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) Conferences in Las Vegas and was an instructor at Stanford University's Digital Media Academy.
