In 1857 India, this 24-year old General led her people into battle against the British Empire earning the reputation as the Joan of Arc of the East. This real-life Wonder Woman’s insurrection shifted the balance of power in the region and set in motion the demise of the notorious British East India Company and the beginning of the British Raj under Queen Victoria.

The film, which opens in North America on November 15th, boasts an incredible cast including Rupert Everett, Nathaniel Parker, Ben Lamb with Jodhi May and Derek Jacobi.

The streaming platform announced that a third film in the series is on the way back in March, titled A Christmas Prince: The Royal Baby. Now that the holidays are closer than ever, Netflix shared the first-look image from the film, above (can you spot those tiny Converse sneakers?), and also the premiere date! We'll be able to see the happy couple's love story continue on Dec. 5 . . . but what will that entail? Netflix's official description of the plot reads:

Beginning Nov. 1, the streaming service will kick off the holiday season with “Holiday in the Wild” starring Kristin Davis and Rob Lowe. Other Netflix original titles include “Let it Snow” starring Isabela Merced, Shameik Moore, Kiernan Shipka, Odeya Rush, Jacob Batalon, Miles Robbins, Mitchell Hope, Liv Hewson, Anna Akana and Joan Cusack, premiering Nov. 8; “The Great British Baking Show: Holidays: Season 2″ premiering Nov. 8; “Klaus “ starring J.K. On Tuesday, Netflix announced a new list of holiday-themed titles coming to the streaming service — giving Christmastime lovers plenty of content to cuddle up and watch by the fire.

Aptly titled “It’s Beginning to Look a lot like Netflix,” 29 new movies and shows will premiere on the platform starting in November.

"Is that young queen still refusing to submit to company rule?" Roadside Attractions has just unveiled an official Us trailer for an Indian historical action drama titled The Warrior Queen of Jhansi, also known as Swords and Sceptres: The Rani of Jhansi while in development. A tale of women's empowerment, The Warrior Queen of Jhansi tells the true story of Lakshmibai, the historic Queen of Jhansi who fiercely led her army against the British East India Company in the infamous mutiny of 1857. She is played by Devika Bhise in this film, and seems to be a bonafide warrior of both past & present. The full cast includes Jodhi May, Rupert Everett, Derek Jacobi, Nathaniel Parker, Ben Lamb, Omar Malik, R. Bhakti Klein, Arif Zakaria, and Yatin Karyekar. This looks especially cheesy, and if it weren't a true story, I'd say this is worth skipping. But it does look like an inspiring story.

Jeff Bushell has sold his script to Lionsgate for “Bad Dog” with Eugenio Derbez and Ben Odell’s 3Pas Studios producing with Point Grey.

The story is centered on a Satan’s favorite hound, Bub, being booted out of hell by a jealous rival and mistakenly adopted by a single dad and his two kids. Despite his bad ways, Bub soon begins to embrace his goodness and falls in love with the family. When Satan wants his dog back and Bub refuses, he must protect his new family from the fury of hell.

Roadside Attractions has acquired U.S. distribution rights to The Warrior Queen of Jhansi, an historical epic that tells the true story of a young provincial queen in British-ruled 1850s India who became a symbol of resistance, leading her people into a battle that would ultimately change the shape of history.

A fall release is in the works for the pic, which was was directed, produced and co-written by Swati Bhise, a British and Indian history scholar who produced 2015’s The Man Who Knew Infinity starring Dev Patel and Jeremy Irons. The international cast of The Warrior Queen is led by The Man Who Knew Infinity‘s Devika Bhise along with Rupert Everett, Derek Jacobi, Ben Lamb, Jodhi May and Hindi actors Yatin Karyekar, Milind Gunaji, Ajinkya Deo and Arif Zakaria.

Sound the trumpets: there’s another royal baby on the way.

With Meghan Markle and Prince Harry‘s first child due this spring, Netflix has officially confirmed a third installment in the Christmas Prince series, due this holiday season. And just like A Christmas Prince and its Royal Wedding sequel, the new movie is closely following the real American royal’s path with some exciting baby news.

The streaming service announced the news Monday by tweeting a promotional poster featuring a sonogram of a growing fetus — already fit with a crown.

“Baby makes 3,” teases the poster.

“A Christmas Prince” became a trilogy Monday, with Netflix setting a third film in the franchise for this coming holiday season.

But the most important piece of that news was that the followup to the sequel a “The Royal Wedding” will include a tiny new addition to the cast — and Amber (Rose Iver) and Richard’s (Ben Lamb) family.

The streamer made the royal announcement via its “See What’s Next” Twitter account early Monday, sharing a sonogram picture of an unborn infant wearing a crown with the text: “Baby Makes 3. ‘A Christmas Prince: The Royal Baby.’ This holiday season.”

Stars McIver, Lamb, and Alice Krige will return for “A Christmas Prince: The Royal Baby.”
