Detailed Guide to ‘A Christmas Prince’ Film Series ( Photo Credit – IMDb )
Films and TV shows do not always have to be profound, with a deeper meaning behind them. They don’t always have to have a conventional format, and they definitely do not always have to be life-changing experiences. And while many films out there aim for substance and depth, sometimes they can get a bit daunting and stressful. Which is why cheesy, guilty pleasure films exist. These are movies that just go for the cheese and clichés, no grand conclusions, no complexities whatsoever. They’re often so bad that it makes them good.
One such film series is the “A Christmas Prince” trilogy. It’s a Christmas romance that was first released in 2017, but apparently, one movie wasn’t enough, so they decided to turn it into a trilogy.
The second film was released on November 30, 2018, and was called...

[Warning: The following contains Major spoilers for The Gilded Age Season 2 Episode 4, “Duke It Out.”] Carrie Coon‘s Bertha Russell is fighting two battles in The Gilded Age Season 2: her public opera war with Mrs. Astor (Donna Murphy) and her private battle with Enid Turner/Mrs. Winterton (Kelley Curran). Episode 4 proved she’s currently winning both. After a famous playwright came to town in Episode 3, the Manhattan elite were visited by the English Duke of Buckingham (Ben Lamb) in Episode 4, and the Russells and the Wintertons were both competing for the prize of his attention. The Wintertons knew the Duke from their time across the pond, but Bertha wouldn’t give her former lady’s maid — and would-be seductress of her husband, George (Morgan Spector) — the satisfaction of the public notoriety that would come with sitting next to him at dinner. She switched their name cards, which was enough to make Turner seethe across ...

High concept, tiny budget thrillers are ironically, something of a cliff edge for filmmakers; they’re often either a breeding ground for clever innovation, or they totally fall apart at the seams with wild intentions but not enough resources to follow through properly. And while Howard J. Ford’s The Ledge definitely boasts a meaty genre set-up that makes for a killer hook, actually pulling it off ends up much harder than it looks.
Experienced climber Kelly (Brittany Ashworth) finds her gorgeous European mountain-climbing vacation taking a turn for the nightmarish, when her best friend Sophie winds up dead at the hands of a gang of hyper-masculine city bros. With a video of the attack in her rucksack and only one escape route, she makes for the nearest cliff, soon finding herself trapped without supplies, suspended hundreds of feet in the air, and with the killers giving chase.

Running away from a villain is familiar in thrillers and horror films. These scenes take place primarily on foot, in open or enclosed spaces, and often in the dark to intensify the stakes and possible deadly outcome for the film’s protagonist – but they always put up a fight. It isn’t often we see a chase executed in such a unique way like in The Ledge. Howard J. Ford’s film sees a woman’s life literally hang in the balance as she climbs the face of the 11 thousand foot Dolomite Mountains to escape the hunters on her tail.
Gearing up for an epic climb is Kelly (Brittany Ashworth) and Sophie (Anaïs Parello). An opening shot of the Italian mountain range accompanied by an energetic score emphasizes what a thrilling feat this will be for them, but that’s shattered when a group of guys shows up. Josh (Ben Lamb...

Queen Amber and King Richard have already been through more than one bump in the road to their happily ever after, so we’d expect nothing less from the Netflix holiday franchise’s third installment, “A Christmas Prince: The Royal Baby,” than to throw at least a few more (baby) bumps in the Aldovian royals’ way.
But when all is said and done at the end of “A Christmas Prince 3,” stars Rose McIver and Ben Lamb — who have played Amber and Richard, respectively, since the first film debuted in 2017 — already have their pitch for “A Christmas Prince 4” ready to go. And this idea might actually help Amber and Richard deal with all the royal drama the couple has been through over the trio of movies.
“I think ‘The Royal Couple’s Counseling’ would be a good installment for next year,” McIver told TheWrap. “Now that they’re dealing with real life,...

Rani of Jhansi is an inspirational heroine, fearless leader, and woman of moxie and compassion. Swati Bhise?s film ?The Warrior Queen of Jhansi? brings forth the backstory of the most iconic Indian warrior-queen.
The film which is all set to release in India, has an ensemble cast featuring Devika Bhise, Jodhi May, Nathaniel Parker, Ben Lamb amongst the many.
While Swati Bhise?s experience in the arts is extensive, she was originally planning to let someone else direct ?The Warrior Queen of Jhansi?. ?At first we were cautious of the mother-daughter working relationship, but the more we looked at potential directors, we realised no-one could bring the knowledge or passion my mother had to the project,? says Devika Bhise. ?To let anybody else direct it would?ve been a mistake.? With the collaboration of Swati?s expertise in Indian classical traditions and Devika?s western eye, they felt that...

It looks like dirty diapers are going to be the least of Queen Amber (Rose McIver) and King Richard's (Ben Lamb) worries judging from the trailer for A Christmas Prince: The Royal Baby!
In the trailer for Netflix's upcoming holiday rom-com, which is set to premiere on Dec. 5, the couple are once again enjoying Christmastime in Aldovia, only this time a royal baby is on the way. Before Amber and Richard can take some time off to prepare for their little one's arrival, they need to host King Tai (Kevin Shen) and Queen Ming (Momo Yeung) of Penglia to renew a 600-year-old sacred truce between their countries.
The only catch? The treaty ends up mysteriously going missing, threatening to undue peace talks and set in motion an ancient curse. Can Amber use her blogging skills to figure out who the thief is before the clock strikes midnight on Christmas Eve?...

Oh, baby! Netflix dropped the trailer for “A Christmas Prince: The Royal Baby” Wednesday, the third film in its “A Christmas Prince” holiday rom-com franchise. The part Rani Lakshmibai (Devika Bhise) played during the 1857 Indian mutiny against the British East India Company is massive. A great moment of perseverance and rebellion on its own, this queen became a much-needed symbol for whom her persecuted people and dwindling allies could rally behind. Widowed five years earlier with an adopted son set to inherit the throne, England presumed a moment of weakness to seize her kingdom as its own. Believing Jhansi’s allegiance to this point gave them cause to simply take over, they didn’t anticipate her staunch opposition. Lakshmibai instead decides to train the women under her rule to sword fight like her father taught her when she was a young commoner not yet wed to the maharaja. The Company had guns; she had purpose.

Early in “The Warrior Queen of Jhansi,” there’s a scene that feels like something you’d find in a Bollywood take on “Wonder Woman,” during which Rani Lakshmibai, the feisty monarch of the title, takes time from serving as drill instructor for a unit of female troops to deal with the harrumphing skepticism of a male visitor. “Do you really think you can train these women to fight like men?” he asks. “No,” Lakshmibai confidently replies. Pause. “I will train them to fight better than men.”
Yes, “The Warrior Queen of Jhansi” is that kind of movie.
Specifically, it’s the kind of old school historical epic where charismatic upstarts lead idealistic revolts against tyrannical colonialists, outnumbered revolutionaries are by turns anxiously dreaded and condescendingly underestimated, and scowling louts periodically reveal the full depths of their industrial-strength nastiness by bellowing lines such as, “She will never surrender! She needs to be broken and destroyed!

It’s Hollywood history time at the movies this weekend, though there’s more than a bit of Bollywood in this new release. Yes, history is explored in this week’s big studio crowd-pleasing Ford V Ferrari, set in the 20th century. This other film goes back to the previous century, at just past its midpoint. While in the states the stage was being set for the Civil War, an even bigger conflict was ‘boiling over” into violence on the other side of the globe. The British were fighting the rebellious forces of the locals in India. And one of the most revered leaders of the “mutiny” was a woman, royalty actually. With her courageous spirit, hunger for freedom, and fierce fighting skills she fits right in at the multiplex alongside any of our female superheroes. But she was a real person, celebrated as The Warrior Queen Of Jhansi.

"Is that young queen still refusing to submit to company rule?" Roadside Attractions has just unveiled an official Us trailer for an Indian historical action drama titled The Warrior Queen of Jhansi, also known as Swords and Sceptres: The Rani of Jhansi while in development. A tale of women's empowerment, The Warrior Queen of Jhansi tells the true story of Lakshmibai, the historic Queen of Jhansi who fiercely led her army against the British East India Company in the infamous mutiny of 1857. She is played by Devika Bhise in this film, and seems to be a bonafide warrior of both past & present. The full cast includes Jodhi May, Rupert Everett, Derek Jacobi, Nathaniel Parker, Ben Lamb, Omar Malik, R. Bhakti Klein, Arif Zakaria, and Yatin Karyekar. This looks especially cheesy, and if it weren't a true story, I'd say this is worth skipping. But it does look like an inspiring story.

Sound the trumpets: there’s another royal baby on the way.
With Meghan Markle and Prince Harry‘s first child due this spring, Netflix has officially confirmed a third installment in the Christmas Prince series, due this holiday season. And just like A Christmas Prince and its Royal Wedding sequel, the new movie is closely following the real American royal’s path with some exciting baby news.
The streaming service announced the news Monday by tweeting a promotional poster featuring a sonogram of a growing fetus — already fit with a crown.
“Baby makes 3,” teases the poster.

The streamer made the royal announcement via its “See What’s Next” Twitter account early Monday, sharing a sonogram picture of an unborn infant wearing a crown with the text: “Baby Makes 3. ‘A Christmas Prince: The Royal Baby.’ This holiday season.”
Stars McIver, Lamb, and Alice Krige will return for “A Christmas Prince: The Royal Baby.”
Here’s the official description for the film: “It’s Christmastime in Aldovia–and a royal baby is on the way! Amber and Richard host royals from a faraway kingdom to renew an ancient truce,...
