Ronda Rousey has been a dominant figure in both UFC and WWE, amassing numerous accolades throughout her career. Her tenure in the UFC propelled her to become one of the highest-paid athletes on the roster, while also securing her a place in history as the first woman to be inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame in 2018.
While her UFC run is legendary, her WWE run is anything but as it was marred by a lot of booking issues as well as the fact that Rousey herself didn’t quite seem to care about professional wrestling as a whole.

That is not all as Ronda Rousey made some startling accusations against WWE Superstar Drew Gulak and now finally, Gulak has responded to the accusations.

After some harsh words backstage at Nxt Deadline, Josh Briggs, Brooks Jensen, and Fallon Henley took down the Meta-Four in a Six-Person Mixed Tag Team Match. Nxt Heritage Cup Champion Noam Dar, Oro Mensah, and Lash Legend wasted no time in getting the match started as they jumped their opponents, but Briggs, Jensen, and Henley rallied. In a savvy move, Stratton targeted that shoulder throughout the match, using it to neutralize Dolin every single time she gained some momentum. By the end of the match, Dolin’s shoulder couldn’t hold up as Stratton hit her signature rolling fireman’s carry and then finished the bout with the Prettiest Moonsault Ever to advance.

Hayes was able to slow Crews down with a strategically placed leg kick on the apron, but Crews overcame it and put together an incredible string of combination offense, including a massive superplex. The two men traded big blows, but Hayes finally got Crews down on the mat long enough to hit his signature Nothing But Net leg drop...

Match #1: Wes Lee def. Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
The Nxt North American champion has had issues with The Don of Nxt Tony D’Angelo, and it gained a new chapter as Wes Lee battled D’Angelo’s right hand man, Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo. Before it even began the two men battled backstage and spilled into ringside before they finally got the match officially started. Lorenzo controlled the pace early on, working the champion over with his technical ground work as well as crushing backbreakers. Lee battled back in a big way, using his high-impact offense to stun Lorenzo. With momentum firmly on his side, Lee nailed Lorenzo with a backflipping kick to the head and pinned “Stacks” in the middle of the ring. After the match,...

Match #1: Axiom def. Andre Chase and Von Wagner The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Axiom, Andre Chase and Von Wagner battled each other with the final Iron Survivor Challenge spot on the line at Nxt Deadline. Von Wagner’s size and strength put him in the driver’s seat early with a double headlock followed by him plowing through his competitors. Von Wagner’s brutality forced Axiom and Chase to work together, but the pair turned on each other to try to get a quick win. As the action continued, Von Wagner resurfaced and mauled the two men, but his attempt at launching Axiom off the top rope went awry and allowed Chase to powerbomb the big man. Ahead of Crown Jewel, WWE made sure to air footage of Logan Paul training with Shawn Michaels at the Performance Center, but a recent report indicates that someone else was heavily involved in the coaching process as well. The Heartbreak Kid, of course, is one of the best professional wrestlers of all time and is Vice President of Talent Development in Nxt. His fingerprints are all over the up-and-comers from the developmental brand, and Michaels worked with Paul to help him prepare for his match against Roman Reigns.
While there's little doubt that the Hall of Famer could impart plenty of knowledge to Paul, Drew Gulak apparently spent a ton of time working closely with Logan. This is according to the most recent edition of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter. Dave Meltzer writes: "An unsung hero of the match was Drew Gulak. WWE sent Paul a ring to Puerto Rico to...

Match #1: Viking Rules Match – The Viking Raiders def. The New Day The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
With countless Viking implements of destruction surrounding the squared circle, Eric & Ivar kicked off SmackDown with a Viking Rules Match, a contest where there were no rules and falls count anywhere, against their bitter rivals The New Day. The vicious showdown stretched deep into the crowd and incorporated numerous Viking shields, steel chairs, Kendo sticks, tables, unicorn horn sledgehammers, the unforgiving ring barricade, a Viking Dragon Ship and the incredible reckless abandon of both tandems. Inside the unforgiving steel, McIntyre took The Master Strategist from the top of the cage and sent him crashing down to the canvas with an earth-shattering Superplex before finishing him off with the Claymore Kick.

WrestleMania is within spitting distance (or rather reaching distance if we are being Covid conscious) but before we get there, we have the final road-themed WWE PPV on “the road to WrestleMania”, in WWE Fastlane. Now, going back across history, Fastlane has often been an up and down show, as the grandaddy of ‘em all’s big matches loom and seem to render much of this final stop PPV either as filler, predictable or the appetiser before the main course (or in this April’s case a two-night feast!). That said, this year’s line-up looked pretty decent, with many excellent workers paired up (Shinsuke Nakamura battling – on his pal Cesaro’s behalf – against Seth Rollins), some storylines set to receive a much needed boost (Randy Orton’s battle against The Fiend’s twisted devotee Alexa Bliss) and others set to change shape (Roman Reigns and Edge’s Daniel Bryan problem).

Well, better late than never, lets take a look at Hell in a Cell from a couple of weeks back, with some benefits of hindsight! Call me crazy but in the weeks leading to the event, WWE did seem to have really picked up a bit. Admittedly, they have this awful knack of putting on huge matches (see The Fiend vs. Kevin Owens and Sheamus vs. Big E a couple of weeks back on Smackdown or The Hurt Business vs. Retribution on Raw) instead of saving this stuff for PPV but there were many intriguing storylines mounting, in Mustafa Ali being brilliantly revealed as Retribution’s leader (and the Smackdown hacker…remember that angle?) and their initial targeting of The Fiend and Alexa Bliss (who have been terrorising WWE together – Alexa’s now even in the Funhouse), while over on the blue brand Roman Reigns and Jey Uso’s family feud was a scorcher!

It has been an unusual time…it really has…for WWE TV. Since debuting a Paul Heyman inspired puppet character in the nightmare fuel that is Wobbly Walrus, Bray Wyatt has gone quiet. Although The Fiend’s influence has been felt, as Alexa Bliss has begun to “let him in” and go wild in the process (in one of WWE’s most intriguing storylines in some time). While WWE finally had Bayley betray her bestie Sasha Banks and plant the seeds for this future showdown we have all wanted. Meanwhile Retribution were finally unveiled on Raw, with Bane-type masks, a strange story motive and have official names – T-Bar, SlapJack, Mace, Retaliation and Reckoning. Now this has seen them mocked remorselessly by the wrestling community but y’know, I rather enjoyed them, and have become a bit of a fan, after the group has been pure fire all this week on Twitter.

Welcome, one and all, to part two the second annual Nerdly WWE Top 50! I began this idea last year. Our version of such established ranking lists as the “Pwi 500” and the like, but just with WWE in mind. I mean, I watch other products and promotions, like Aew, New Japan, Ring of Honor and Nwa, but… sticking to one promotion, the promotion I tend to watch the most, makes sense, and makes this one-man-job a lot easier to do. Like last year, this will take into account work-rate, match-quality, visibility of the workers on television, their promo work, but also… and this is important to note, the way that they’ve been used. You see… there are men and women in WWE who, if they were used more often and booked in a more substantial manner, would...

Welcome to this week’s WWE Friday Night SmackDown review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have…SmackDown. I’m really shooting for the stars here. There’s a lot of major problems happening in the world right now and if you are at the mercy of any of them, then just remember that you are not alone, even when it feels like you must be. Chadwick had the disease for four years and worked through many treatments and surgeries to reach the first great pinnacle of his career, the role of T’Challa, The Black Panther. Chadwick was initially a director before his acting career suddenly took off and just held on for the ride.

Welcome to this week’s 205 Live review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have the little wrestling show that could!
Match #1: Drake Maverick def. Tehuti Miles The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
After being battered by Undisputed Era nine nights ago on Nxt, Drake Maverick was looking to take out his rage on Tehuti Miles, and it was evident he had plenty of it from the start. It wasn’t easy, as Maverick had to deal with constant disrespect from Miles and an early barrage of right hands to the face. Miles let the former 205 Live General Manager know that he wasn’t taking him seriously by repeatedly taking mid-match breaks to comb his hair, but that only seemed to stoke the competitive fire within Maverick, who viciously dropkicked his foe off of the ring apron while Tehuti was flaunting his looks. Miles briefly...

Greetings dweebs and losers! “Smart” Mark D. Mark here, filling in for Nathan Favel, who is busy crying about his mom still being dead. I say, “Boo-Hoo, sir!” Yes, this review will be credited to Nathan Favel, because his generation gets everything handed to them like the miscreant pussies that they are. Let me just say to you all, that this review will be a master-class in critiquing and in the art of review. On this episode of Friday Night SmackDown, we have Aj Styles defending the Intercontinental Title against Gran Metalik, who sounds like an auto-shop breakfast cereal. Who names these morons? In the main event, we have Bayley defending her SmackDown Women’s Title against Nikki Cross, who seems dead-set on giving Pms something to aspire to if her erratic attitude is any indication. Let’s get on already with this millennial thirst trap called “Friday Night SmackDown” before I hurl.

Welcome to this week’s Friday Night SmackDown review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have Donald Trump taking people in the night like fascism is cool…bastard. Jeff Hardy fights Sheamus in bar, because Covid-19 is allergic to booze. Tom Brokaw is a pussy and SmackDown starts…very late here, because of base-a-ball!
Match #1: Nikki Cross def. Alexa Bliss The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Bayley played puppet master for another showdown, this time pitting Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross against each other for a SmackDown Women’s Championship opportunity. Cross came in nursing cracked ribs from Bayley’s use of Banks’ Boss Time rings during their championship clash. Bliss targeted the ribs of her friend throughout the match, but Cross showed grit and battled back time and again. As the referee checked on the hurt Superstar after a missed crossbody off the top rope,...
