- Julie Anne Peñaflorida San Jose, also known as JAPS to her supporters, was born on May 17, 1994 in Novaliches, Quezon City, Philippines to Marivic and Jonathan San Jose.
She was first seen on TV as one of the finalists in Eat Bulaga's(a Filipino variety show) Little Miss Philippines when she was three years old. In 2005, she joined a singing competition, Popstar Kids. Eventough she did not win the said competition, she still became a part of Sugar Pop,the show's spin-off children singing group, who performed in the Sunday variety show, SOP. She was re-cast as a solo artist in SOP's successor, Party Pilipinas, where she had tandem performances with Elmo Magalona and Frencheska Farr.
