He also toured as a musician and vocalist across India on Rahman's live shows.
A graduate of UCLA's Film Scoring Program, Aks was awarded the prestigious BMI Jerry Goldsmith Film Scoring Scholarship during his time there. Soon thereafter, he established Eclipse Nirvana Studios in West LA where he writes for film & TV and video game projects.
In 2012, he formed his music and media company Eclipse Nirvana. With his wife and musical partner Lakshmi, Aks began producing albums and live shows of Electronic Bhakti Music. With 8 studio albums till date including The Bhakti Movement with Sony Music, Aks & Lakshmi perform shows featuring medieval Indian poetry across the US and abroad. Audiences describe their music as "healing", "meditative" and "transforming".
